This is the third visit to the pub. It appears to be managed by a man that you can only describe as looking homeless and dirty with features of "cat weasel". The bar was freezing cold despite the fire being lit but everyone seemed to...More

Good was bloody good and the service was excellent. We had the fish in beer batter it was very tasty and my friend had faggots and peas. We both enjoyed our meals and we go for lunch there again. It wasn't that expensive either.

Having checked trip adviser before going, we were all disappointed as the pub was freezing, eventually the heating was put on. Also we all had burgers, mine was a chicken burger, very dry, chips were not nice. So we won’t we back.

Super place to visit for just a beer or a full on meal. Great food, super service, and for Gongoozlers a very busy lock right outside. Even the dog managed to get a good drink!

We called for an evening meal while staying nearby and were pleasantly surprised. A warm welcome on arrival, drinks of Merlot ordered and comfy chairs – a good start. We had main courses for the pair of us of Cajun Chicken and Beer battered Fish...More

A friendly village pub located on the picturesque Staffs and Worcestershire canal. Our aim is to serve good homecooked food using locally sourced ingredients. All our beef comes from the Bishop family farm located less than a mile away on Blakeshall lane.
