What an appalling dump. Full of loudmouth proles. Landlady joined the loudmouth proles and joined in the general awful din . To call the landlord monosyllabic would be flattery. Pity because there's a really good campsite very nearby but if using campsite again would not go near. Avoid at all costs.

Very impressed. Needed a place to stop for lunch whilst travelling through the Midlands and this was a lucky find. Very friendly staff and great service. The lock itself provided entertainment for the kids with narrowboats just popping up a few feet from the window and the burgers were fantastic. Described as being homemade from locally reared beef, all I... More

Went for a quick evening meal as the weather was nice. I had a burger which came with chips and side salad...all lovely and fresh and homemade, my partner had the scampi which again was nice and freshly made. Good prices too. Excellent overall and we will be back.

Staying in Wolverley camping & caravanning site less than 100 yards away. Nice friendly pub, outside seating as well. Alongside a canal so ideal for those out walking. Dog friendly. Lovely meals too. I had gammon & chips. The huge thick gammon was delicious, as was the big fat chunky chips. Came with pineapple, tomato, mushroom, peas. Thoroughly enjoyed my... More

A friendly village pub located on the picturesque Staffs and Worcestershire canal. Our aim is to serve good homecooked food using locally sourced ingredients. All our beef comes from the Bishop family farm located less than a mile away on Blakeshall lane.
