Nice-looking boozer. Big range of lagers / beers. Food is spot-on. Staff friendly. Toilets are a bit of a trek (upstairs). Dogs add more character.

The Gin collection was extensive and very good but the food left a lot to be desired. We were a table of 4 adults and 1 child and when we checked the menu we were disappointed. Not a great selection for the adults and even worse for the child menu. . were good bit the mains poor. When they arrived... More

Six of our family turned up on bank holiday for a meal. We managed to get a table. Nice atmosphere with a great selection of beers. The food menu was varied and all the dishes we had were absolutely delicious.

This place serves excellent beer. Some of the best. The food simple carvery and fish and chips were very slow to be served. There were not enough staff at the bar. The food was average and not that well cooked. Not good value. Dogs everywhere in the eating area. Under and around the tables. One Yorkshire terrier was slavering on... More

We have been regulars at Bart'at for many years but they seem determined to drive us away. First they stopped our favorite crisps (Seabrooks) for some posh up market stuff that is too pricey and doesn't really go with beer. Then they stopped my wife's favourite beer (Erdinger) that they used to serve so well. They have now introduced pricing... More

Visited on a Friday night about 2 weeks ago with partner and daughter, we had to eat downstairs as the bar was packed and that was ok but it lacked any real atmosphere because there was only one other table occupied and anyway, its not particularly atmospheric downstairs but the food was lovely, we had a fish dish and it... My wife and I visited today for a quick drink and a bite to eat. We ordered drinks and two fish butties , a fairly simple meal you would have thought. We finished our drinks still no sign of any food, after 20 minutes I asked at the bar what the delay was to be told that the chef was inundated... More

Bar T'at has a great selection behind the bar and the fish and chips were excellent- proper home cooked food! The staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble and the Ginuary event was brilliant with a really relaxed atmosphere.. I would definately go back- especially for the fish and chips!

First time at Bar T'at - Had the most amazing time at a Gin tasting event last month ....... wow! The gins were tasty - that goes without saying but the venue also put on food (unexpectedly) I have to say, best chunky chips I've ever had! Had a drink in the pub after the event - very relaxed atmosphere... More

After a day of shopping I came to visit with my little girl and some friends. It was busy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff who helped me find a place to sit.... incredibly thoughtful! The food was yummy (fish and the best chips ever) and my daughters fussy ways were even catered for. The service was... More
