loved the bread and the cakes - but save the money and hit up the german guy at the farmers market. His stuff is much better. But overall it's still good stuff, it's just a bit expensive.. Even for gringo prices..

I'm trying not to take offense at the name, while I'm certain the locals do. That aside they fill a need in SJS. The bread and treats are fresh and delicious.

We came twice; once on the day we arrived, and a few days later. We loved the pan integral, but the real showstopper was the banana bread with chocolate chips! A real gem for bread lovers like me and my family!

Delicious, crusty, fresh baked breads. I found myself craving this as the restaurants there do not serve bread with meals. Bought a loaf of seasoned focaccia and washed it down with some Tonah beer on the terrace at the hotel.

once you try their bread, you will go back. I have a preference for the olive oil one : at 150 Cordobas (almost 8 CAN $), it is way more expensive than similar quality bread in Montreal. I have a friend in SJDS, a local,...More
