There are some people saying this place is Thai and i really don't understand. I've lived in China for more than 5 years and have visited Thailand a few times. The food in CCQ is very typical Chinese. There are one or two dishes that make you think the chef went on holiday to Thailand but to say it's a... More

Reviewed this previously as a decent place to come for northern Thai food but it really has deteriorated. Service was terrible and the food was just as bad. Everything was way too salty (the soup, the veg, the meat everything!!!), the beef rice dish I had was like chewing spicy and salty grit! The only good thing here was the... More

Overall a negative experience. Food quality very low, unfriendly waiters, smelly food and dirty environment. Not recommended.

Although the staff are predominantly Thai (they don't speak English and only some of the staff speak Chinese), the food is not typical Thai tasting food I've had. Maybe this has been influenced by the local Chinese/Dai food or this is typical Northern Thai food but the food here was extremely spicy! I've been to Thailand a number of times... More

Really casual and friendly place. The choice of dishes is quite large, good selection of beers, they seem to be a Chinese-Thai fusion nevertheless indeed good. The open space where the tables are placed creates a social lively atmosphere.

Having come and gone from Jinghong over the last tens years I have witnessed many changes. Mostly the growth of the city and the prices for eating out. This place however doesn't seem to have followed the trend. The prices and service has remained the same, which means it's even greater value for money these days. As for the food... More

This place was always packed with locals at lunch, by local Chinese restaurant standards, the prices were not much more expensive. They had Chang and even some Thai sodas, I passed. The food was slightly sub-par to what you will find on the streets of Bangkok, but price wise far cheaper than what you would pay for the almost same... More

It was packed when we went about 7 pm which we took to be a good sign. Very little Thai food on the menu, everything was Chinese except for Thai red curry and green curry. Red curry was watery and tasted just of chilli powder. It seemed to me all the customers were tourists.

This place is no frills authentic Thai. I've been to Thailand several times and this place is on the money. Super cheap, my girlfriend and I have been several times and average about 100 kuai ($16USD) for 5 dishes and two drinks, which is generally more food than we can finish. The staff is all Thai with very very limited... More

Quite famous restaurant, always full, but I wonder why? Food is Thai-like, but far away from being authentic. Waitresses are Thai and do not speak English and their Chinese is poor - above all they are sniffy. Not recommended!
