My 3 kids and husband and I stumbled across this creperie. We each ordered a savory....eggs, meats, unexpected cheeses, sauteed mushrooms, etc. We watched the owner create them. Each one was so so delicious, and the kids enjoyed drawing on the chalk table. The 4...stars only is due to the ambiance; paper plates and plastic ware for such fine food detracts from the experience, and the enormous air conditioner feels like it might fall from the wall. If the weather allows for outside, it would be nice to sit on the bistro tables. However, we'll be back. :)More
We saw this cafe from the window of another restaurant and scouted it out for future visits. Initially, we were the only ones there, but that changed quickly. The owner invited us to try a crepe gratis. It was delicious!
Fancy restaurant? Not at all....But very hospitable host, reasonable prices, extremely delicious food. We'll return and bypass the larger restaurants to enjoy good food and welcoming host.More
I have had both savory and sweet crepes from this establishment, and they've all been wonderful! The savory crepes are definitely the perfect size for those looking for a light lunch; the sweet crepes are definitely full desserts. The crepes with cookie butter have always...been extremely impeccable. Looking forward to going back again soon!More
We love crepes, and wanted a lighter lunch today, so set off for “Au Bon Lieu”. As we entered, we immediately regretted it. We had expected a charming French Bistro, but this place looked shabby, dirty, and unkempt. We took the first table, which was...by the window. Directly across from us stood this large Bitcoin machine. Put cash in, and get a receipt for bitcoins. What is the purpose of this thing standing there, in such a small place?
Lovely French music was playing, but the centerpiece on each table was not flowers, or a seasonal pumpkin, but a large bottle of hand sanitizer. We would have left, but this place has a 4.5 rating (higher than the top restaurant Devon), so decided to stay, and order.
The crepe was more like a wrap than a crepe. We are very familiar with French crepes. They are light and airy. This one was much heavier. It had the taste of a crepe, but the looks of a flour tortilla. Everything was served on paper, with plastic utensils. But, I must admit that this “crepe” (ham, spinach, tomato and cheese) was very tasty, and we ate everything.
We will not be returning as the place is just too unkempt and cluttered. We were the only ones there, and, we recognize that small businesses are having difficulties now, but how hard is it to pick up the clutter, and to vacuum the floor?More
