Tip: Reservations are available before 5PM. Tip#2:The pasta primavera is awesome! They do a fantastic job with all of the food, but I like it the best! Their tiramisu is good, but I like Bel Pease more for tiramisu (sorry, but I tell it like it is).

We have been to Moonlight Cafe several times. It is one of our favorites. Chef Marco and Team pay attention to every detail and all meals are fresh, flavorful and just like you would have in Italy. So last week we brought 12 of our friends to experience the same. Everyone had wonderful meals, loved the food, waitress was so... More

Once again I had the pleasure and opportunity to dine at Marco's fantastic Moonlight Cafe in Dover,Pa. In October of 2016 I once again found myself in York Pa.for the largest toy train show in the world ( which may now be my excuse to be able to dine at the Moonlight Cafe). The late part is that I am... More

Drove from Lancaster to Dover in rush hour traffic to eat here and it was worth every backed up light and mile we traveled. I ate the crab cakes which are just unbelievable. Huge in size, extremely large pieces of crab, with an interesting addition of apples and gorgonzola. Would put these up against any crab cake in the world.... More

Been going here for years before people knew about it. The place has always been great. We have never gotten a bad meal. The place is very small and tables are tight but it's the food that brings you here. The owner is very friendly and the staff is awesome. They all make you feel at home. The prices are... More

It looks like a hole in the wall but the meals were excellent. I had the crab cake panini. Looked deep fried but it was delicious! My wife had the veal saltimbocca. Very good, garlicy but very good. Real Italian food, made right. one waitress, busy at 3 PM but worth the wait! only seats about 40 but it would... More

Off the beaten path, but a fabulous little Italian restaurant on the main street in Dover. Menu choices were wide-ranging with staff responsive to modifications. The portions were large, hot, tasty, and done to perfection. The lasagna was perfect as was the fettuccini with meatballs. The hostess was personable, friendly, and accommodating. The entire staff was efficient, attentive, and professional.... More

Have eaten here numerous times--apps, sandwiches, dinner and desserts are all delicious. Tiny and unassuming, the service is always good. Bring your own bottle of wine, they supply corkscrew and glasses. Be ready to wait for a table if you get there after 530-6, as there are only about 25 small tables. Ready to go back!

This is a small, BYOB restaurant with a good size menu of primarily Italian dishes that you can watch being made. The food is delicious and the prices are perfect for the selection and amount of food you receive. Not much on atmosphere but great on friendliness and service. Cash only; no credit cards.
