My fiancé and I like to eat at local breweries when we travel so we found this place and stopped in (around 4:30 PM on a Saturday) for an early dinner before heading to Knoebels. We were very happy with the entire experience. The beer was delicious. I had the Slack Tub Stout and the Mild English ale. Both were... More

Stopped here for lunch after outpatient surgery at nearby Geisinger. Easy to find on the main drag. There were several tables on the sidewalk out front, but we opted to eat inside. My husband had the Blue Jerk burger, which came dressed with blue cheese, jerk sauce, bacon, lettuce, cheddar cheese and onion. I just had a basic burger with... More

We live in Danville and have very few choices for restaurants. We "default" to OFB. The food is consistently poor and the kitchen is very slow. Service is occasionally arrogant. It's a shame because the beer is great.

This place offers a lovely selection of beer on tap and nice bar food to match. You can sit outside and enjoy the sun or inside. On occasion live music or other events take place. Salads are decent, burgers are good but not for calorie counters.

We stopped by in the afternoon for a beer, the bartender advised us on a couple of their fantastic brews and we had some of their deviled eggs and a pretzel. Just the thing for a mid day snack. We came back that night for dinner and listened to a very good local band playing. All in all a pleasant... More

Great menu and beer. Everyone was eating outside as there was a band inside and the music was way too loud. Hostess couldn't even hear us ask for outside seating too.

They have excellent food options. I have now been there twice and tried different things my friends were eating. Everything I tried was amazing. I love the pretzels and beer cheese dip and the homemade root beer. The food is great too, but those are the main reasons I go.

Enjoyed our meal at OFB. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the attention to the decorating in the restaurant. Prices were a little steep for a burger but it was tasty and a generous size.

We stopped here during our trip to Knoebels park. We happened to come in during "trivia night" (which was great fun). The selection of local craft beers was great, and we enjoyed what we tried. But we were disappointed with the food. My wife had a hamburger, which was ordered "medium rare" and came well done. We sent it back... More

Description
Old Forge Brewing Company is a fun, casual, comfortable brewpub specializing in healthy pub fare and fresh brewed beer. Our country was built on the skills and labor of old-world artisanal craftsmen. Woodworkers, carpenters, stonemasons, ironworkers, blacksmiths, tileworkers, and many others came here and employed the knowledge and skills of their craft in building their farms, homes, and towns.Nowadays, it is so easy and convenient to purchase generic products from big-box stores, that we sometimes neglect to appreciate the uniqueness and quality of a hand-crafted product. At Old Forge Brewing Company, we strive to honor personal craftsmanship. Our hand-crafted beer is made in small batches to ensure quality and peak freshness, while the healthy and delicious menu has ingredients sourced from local farms and markets wherever possible. Take the time to notice our bar, furniture, and fixtures which were all handcrafted by local wood and metal worker Keith Kocher (Lightstreet Custom Woodworking). Check out our unique tap handles carved and forged by local artist/sculptor J. Mark Irwin (Irwin Sculpture Studio), and our plates, bowls, and beer mugs, all hand-made by local potter Mike Hart (M. Hart Pottery). We welcome you to stop by and visit us on Mill Street in downtown Danville. Have a bite to eat, sip a fresh pint of beer, and enjoy the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Leave your troubles on the doorstep and let us take care of the rest.
