We did the GAP bike trail and stopped at River's Edge based on a recommendation from a colleague, and we couldn't have been happier. The food was outstanding for the price, and surprisingly gourmet. It was night so we didn't get to enjoy the view, but the atmosphere is warm and homey, if slightly eclectic (which we liked). Overall this... More

In the past, this was our favorite spot for lunch on the bike trail, HOWEVER, our most recent experience wasn't very good. We made reservations for 1:00 on a Sunday. When we arrived we were immediately seated and provided the menus, but the service went downhill from here. It wasn't very crowded, yet we waited quite some time to place... More

We had dinner here. The food was not good. The vegetables were frozen and served cold. The chicken was frozen, not fresh. The portion size for one meal was suitable for a child, not an adult. We had a simple request and the owner came over to answer it. She was rude. Would not go back.

We had eaten here on a few occasions over the years while bike riding the rails-to-trails along the Youghiogheny River up from Ohiopyle. This time we stopped with a group of 14 antique motorcycle riders on a fall foliage run. I wasn't sure if the small place could handle that many all at once plus normal customers but they did.... Riding the gap. Made dinner reservations. Everything was good, not great but good. Wine was decent. Service was very good. The setting along the river the best.

Enjoyed our lunch here after 11mile bike ride. They have a surprisingly full menu. Lamb burger was delicious and they make their own potato chips. Feels like you are dining in a country home.

A friend had recommended this place and I was glad I followed her advice. I was a solo diner and was seated outside ( my request) so I could see and listen to the river, which was only about 25 feet or so away. My meal choice was simple since I wanted a pasta dish to carb up before my... More

Daughter and I stopped for lunch at halfway point of our 60 mile training ride on the Great Allegheny Passage rail trail. Wait staff efficient, menu diverse, and the food was exceptional!
