I used to have to visit family in Carlisle Pa and I would always have to drop in to the Carlisle Diner for breakfast to get some scrapple. Their breakfast is delicious and in my opinion this establishment is underrated.

My wife and I loved this place. Near the college football field. Great parking in the rear. The menu is good. The senior specials are great. The entree includes soup/salad and dessert. We brought half of our meals home with us.

French Onion Soup is to DIE For. One of the best places to get it. Service was ok, but the food made up for it,

Average diner. Typical diner food. Prices are good. But place is rather small. There are better places in Carlisle to have breakfast.

never again this was the worst fried potates I have ever had and they were full and waitress was nasty like she wanted a group to wait on and not a single person, I didn't leave tip and my free breakfast at Days Inn across the street was a lot better

Typically, I don't rate diners because they are what they are. This was my 1st visit here for breakfast. In this case I felt the need! Poached eggs without any runny yolks is usually an indication they were left in the water too long. These you could have used them as egg salad. The corn beef hash was so over... More

Met my wife for Lunch at the Carlisle Diner. I had the New York strip medium rare and she had her standard French onion soup with a side of onion rings. My steak was PERFECT and my wife really enjoyed her French onion soup and rings. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. We eat out a lot... More

This establishment used to be this local's family go-to Sunday morning breakfast place. No more. The last few months have seen a steady decline in food and service. Today was the past straw; found hair in our food, when we alerted the hostess, we were not offered any compensation; no replacement, no discount....nothing. Lots of better places to eat...just stay... More

This used to be a great diner with reasonable prices and good food. After the new owners took over, we found the food to be disappointing, pricier and have just stopped going, sad to say. There are other choices in town.

an excellent old standby has been transformed to mediocre, at best. good old country food has been transformed to mundane, canned replicas of once excellent diner cuisine. the friendliness , and service is still there, but whoever is doing the cooking needs to improve. as a former resident of the town and frequent eater, this was excellent, simple food. this...
