This little pub has become our favorite local spot for good food and pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have daily specials. All of their soups are yummy. They have delicious sandwiches as well as full meals. Their Cuban sandwich is large enough to share and the wings are great. Very casual and laid back.

Linda, thanks for the kind words! I believe you meant to give us 5 stars instead of 1 though! More

Bartender was very friendly and made great bloody Mary's....we didn't eat but fsmilies came in for table service, and others sat at the bar. Mixed group of people from families with a 7 or 8 year old kid to bikers who like head banging music to couples like us looking for New Years Day hair of the dog drinks. Atmosphere... More

My brother stopped here as he had heard it was good. Only a couple of people there and we sat in bar area. They had a breakfast menu so I picked out a couple of items. Service was good and food was pretty good also. Surprised me.

Been past here 100 times on m'cycle, today is the day I stopped. Quiet for a Saturday but a steady flow of customers eating and having a drink. I had the fr onion soup and BLT and 3 Yurngling drafts, $19 - not bad. Daily specials, a pool table, nice bar - it aint the country club, but I like... More

My wife and I live about a quarter of a mile away. We ate there often. The food and service are always good. The menu has a good selection to choose from. I read a couple of worse than average reviews. We've never had a problem with our food or service.

We had a family dinner, including grandparents and teens. We had a variety of foods including smoked meats (one of the specials today), stromboli, chicken salad, and fish sandwich. Not a single complaint - everything on our table was above average (or better), and not just comparing to bar food. The place has been very clean on the occasions we've... More

My wife and I were in the mood for a good burger so we stopped at the Rising Sun. We had Shannon as our server and she did an outstanding job.. Very personable and friendly.. She always has a smile on her face. Nothing like coming to a place that has happy employees......The burgers were also very good. The chef... More

The food could have been good but what we ate had been sitting around for awhile. The smoked brisket had good flavor but was dried out. It was probably cooked in the morning for lunch service. Same for the stuffed peppers, which were mostly rice (not meat). Fish and chips were greasy and tasteless. Might be a good place to... More

Thanks for stopping in and we appreciate the feedback. We strive to have the best food around and are sorry you were disappointed. Hopefully you voiced your concern to wait staff as that is the only way to immediately correct the situation. Please stop back and talk to the manager when you are in the area again. More

Looks can be deceiving, I love getting breakfast here. Inside looks old and seems weird getting breakfast at bar but staff is really nice and the food is good and affordable.

The "Sun" has been a staple to Campbelltown but there is a noted improvement on not only the interior appearance but also the quality and selection of food. Dinner specials are creative and tasty. The customer service is at an ultimate friendly high. You can't go wrong stopping in for a drink or some munchies on a date or with... More
