Fantastic meal and dining experience in Sunriver! David was the best waiter I've had in some time! Awesome, entertaining, and knowledgeable. Will certainly go back. Delicious cocktails too!

The charcuterie is the best we have ever had. Go for the 5 for $15. We had the duck liver pate, pecorino cheese, smoked prosciutto, finocchiona & country pork pate, served with tomato jam, whole grain mustard, pickled veggies, & croccantini. A wonderful explosion of tastes. This with two salads would be a great meal! We ordered other dishes which... More

I came upon this restaurant while enjoying the area over Spring Break, and made a reservation for early evening. I'm so glad I did. The scallop dish I had as an entree was wonderful, prepared with a delicious sauce, which really let the scallops shine, and the pear blue cheese salad was a perfect accompaniment. My friend had the orecchiette... More

Had a wonderful time there. A new owner and chef took over recently. I overheard some people who had been there before commenting on the improved quality of the food, which was very good. We had fried oysters, charcuterie plate, pasta primavera and the salmon. Wow. There's a huge deck outside which we can't wait to enjoy this summer. Wine... More

Hi TJG, Thank you for your review--especially pointing out the BT Sour, which is my personal addition to the cocktail list. Yes, we expect the deck to be busy this summer and we hope that you make it to Sunriver again soon to enjoy it. Cheers! Chef/owner, Jeremy Buck More

The menu looks great. Make sure you make reservations. We live fairly close and swung by a number of times to find that South Bend Bistro was full. A fairly small, intimate place (once we got in) so I get that. Food was OK though I didn't think it was worth the price. Service is good. Great ambiance.

Hi Jimm B, Thank you for your review of South Bend Bistro. Since taking ownership on March 1st, we have been working hard at adding new items to the menu and beverage lists, including the recent addition of several local beers on tap. We have also been expanding our hours which currently are Tuesday-Sunday, 4:30pm-9pm for dinner and lunch on... More

This was supposed to be the go to spot in Sunriver, so on a recent Stay-cation we made reservations. We were treated horribly from the start, waitress was very inattentive, didn't know wine list or champagne at all. There were several large tables that had way better service. We were seated at a window seat which felt like we were... More

I took my wife back to South Bend Bistro in July, and we remain impressed with the food and service. My shrimp cake appetizer was nothing short of fabulous, as was my duck entree - great saucing and ample sizes. My wife's salmon was perfectly prepared and delicious. The wine list had a good selection of reasonably priced reds and... More

Small intimate restaurant serving excellently prepared lip smacking tasty food using regional food sources. Recommend the shrimp cakes and the halibut. I doubt either would disappoint. My wife was equally impressed with the pork tenderloin. Be forewarned though, tables close together making intimate conversation hard, if not impossible. Call ahead for reservations. We were there on a Wednesday night at... More

South Bistro is by far the best restaurant in Sunriver if not bend- Jamie and Lars do an amazing job at making you feel like you are in someone's home - the food is always 100% - tasty, unique and flavorful and just the right portions - we had the halibut and salmon this past week - amazingly good and...
