Staff taking order was cold and rude. Sandwich took a long time to make and then was made with wrong bread. Staff made it seem like an inconvenience to fix the error, which also took a long time. Cookie was so over baked that it was almost black and hard as a rock. Many of the loaves on the shelves... More

This is a little place with a great big impact. They make the bread, rolls, treats, etc right there so it's amazingly fresh! It always smells so good! The bread, cookies, etc., are reasonably priced, but if you want lunch it's going to cost you a little bit more but trust me, it's worth it! I recommend a half sandwich... More

So many choices. My friend and I stopped here while roaming Salem. Worth the stop. Both got different pasteries and were pleased with all! Can't go wrong no matter what you get! Good quality, all nice and moist with great taste.

My daughter has a gluten issue. This is the only place she has found sourdough bread. Another friend was able to order GF cinnamon raisin bread. The GF bread comes with small slices as did the sandwiches. I had a half sandwich of regular bread and it was huge and delicious. We walked over to Riverfront park and enjoyed our... More

Our first time in this establishment, which has a 1970's vibe. We were searching for pastries and requested a Nanaimo bar, a Snickerdoodle, and another bar that has a cheesecake filling and chocolate. We were given a gingerbread bar instead of the Nanaimo, which we did not realize until we were home. It was, hands down, the driest, dullest, worst... More

The owner of this bakery is gifted and talented as well as compassionate towards those who can not partake in the other tempting treats at her counter. However, as a Celiac, I have found that it is best to eat these outside of the bakery and to order ahead of time. She is also flexible on baking something that is... More

Their fresh bread is very good. We have purchased a variety of breads and most have been very good. The desserts are a great disappointment, however. Brownies were very dry and had to throw them away. Other desserts have also been average or below avaerage for freshness and taste. Too bad since their breads are so good!

Great bread - the best sustainable bread in town. There are wonderful sandwiches and pastries - esp. around Easter and Christmas - when specialty breads are made. Sat. a jazz group plays.
