We went there with our adult "kids" and really loved the atmosphere and, of course, the noodles. A very fun place we "older folks" might not have found on our own. The servings were huge and we were able to take some home for the next day. A fun place-good food.

Fun place that you climb down to the cellar, ok beer selection and good street tacos, you can play pool or pinball.

My family and I had just finished a Brewcycle tour and were quite tipsy. My Nephew suggested this spot and we are happy that he did! It is unique and fun! Too bad they had no Cold Cock whiskey though!

This tour was really great. It took about an hour and a half and we were under Hobo's Bar in downtown Portland, and a couple of other places. The space itself is pretty small, but the tour guide really made you feel that you were seeing it the way they did back in the day when men were being grabbed... More

I haven't been here in over ten years. Back then my interest to see this place was related to the old history of Portland when they used to Shanghai people and sell them off to captains of ships to fill out their crew once they woke and found themselves out at sea. If this place had tunnels back then they... More

This was a birthday present from a family member. We started off at Hobo's, checking in here with our tour guides. The tour took about 1.5 hours and we found it very interesting. There are some steep stairs that take you under Hobo's establishment, so this is not something for those who have difficulty walking. There are points where the... More

Take the tour. It is full of offbeat info about old and current Portland. Try to get Eleanor as your guide. The only disappointing bit is you don't get too much time in a tunnel.

After having heard about the legendary Shanghai tunnels, we were compelled to visit this establishment. We ventured downstairs to have a drink and it was very dark. I shined my pocket flashlight at the beer tap handles which were located at the very back of the bar to decide which flavor to order. A bartender became angry and yelled at... More

Dearly loved the Shanghai Tour of the seamy side of Portland. The guide was extraordinary! Now, to analyze the oddities of my photos from the underground!

This place has a patio rivhtnon the corner of main thoroughfares out of the waterfront and Saturday Market. The bar is serve yourself, so you go down to the basement to get your drink and then can sit down there or upstairs. I got a glass of wine for $4 and sat outside and was entertained the whole time. Many... More
