Great coffee and the best baked good ever! This morning we had the Irish Soda Bread and a Cheese Danish. Both were amazing!

This was a return trip. They have a good variety of breads. Their selection of pastries are fairly varied and some of their creations are quite tasty. They offer a number of terrific sandwiches and they have a good selection of coffees. The prices are reasonable compared to other bakery stores.

Great sandwich place for lunch -- while you are picking up some of that artisanal bread for home. Just don't forget the cookie for desert.

Neighborhood bakery and coffee spot. I had the cheese danish which was excellent. My husband had their egg biscuit which he really enjoyed. Nice spot to sit and wake up.

While visiting Portland, my husband and I stayed in the Ladd's Addition area and walked up to the Hawthorne location on a Tuesday morning. The bakery was pleasantly busy with happy people. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. We had both savory and sweet items and enjoyed both. The bacon was wonderful, as was the donut... More

Local bakery with local ingredients. Breads are soooo good, and so are the biscuits. Kids like the various muffins. The breakfast biscuit egg sausage is all natural and so good.

Friends suggested this for a breakfast sand which and I'm glad she did. Had egg, sausage biscuit and it was delicious. I had ice tea and only concern was it was hibiscus/ginger and there was no ginger flavor at all.

Locals know and love this friendly bakery. We had smoked turkey sandwiches with Gouda with the popular ginger molasses and raisin oatmeal cookies for desert. The cookies were so good I bought a half dozen more. The staff is friendly and helpful, one ensuring I received my combined cookie discount based on my first purchase, another who calls two cookies... More

Had a terrific lunch here. The menu is quite varied and they have something to please everyone. Great soup. Be prepared to wait awhile for your order unless you just grab pastries and coffee. Little known secret Is the chicken pot pie. Amazing with chunky veggies and large pieces of chicken. Buy it frozen while you're having breakfast and you'll... More
