We stopped in for cheese and meat to go with us on a chilly sailing day. We loved everything, the cheese was some of the best I've tasted and it was a perfect snack to take sailing!

My wife and I love cheese and we have fallen in love with the Cheese Bar. They have a great selection of cheeses sourced both regionally and abroad. Paired with a brew or wine by the glass and this unpretentious and cozy shop is a great place for a quick nosh.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice aged sharp cheddar and a blue cheese. Our cheese monger said how about both and provided a sample of one cheese that met our criteria. Can't beat that! We were in a rush so we were just grabbing something to go, but next time we are staying for the grilled cheese.... More

A well curated variety of cheeses and cured meats available in a number of different style options are the showcase here. Simple presentation and reasonable prices are complimented by a small but high quality selection of beer and wine.

Excellent selection and great set tasting plates, such as stinky, ripened, etc. Soup, toasties, etc. also on offer for lunch to supplement the cheese plates...which ones to choose is the challenge!!

We went there after a long busy day and relaxed on the back porch with wine and good food. This restaurant is not much to look at but the food is good and the service was friendly and quick. I had the steak sandwich and the couple with me had the Buddy Up Board which is a collection of meats... More

Had a great lunch on a sunny day in Portland. Enjoyed the buddy board. The cheese was a Raw cow from France and one from Belgium. Both were very tasty. They were not busy on a Sunday...I think the Timbers game might have had something to do with that though. Definitely recommend stopping by for a plate and a Pint.

The Cheese Bar (aka Steve's Cheese) should be known to all fromagerites or cheese lovers. Wonderful selections many from local makers and others from small European producers all hand picked by the man of cheese. Staff are all very knowledgeable about each one and are more than happy to provide tastes or recommend parings. Since I am lucky enough to... More
