I was there having a wonderful meal the night Neil and his family were there. They were horrible. Keep your kid home if he is not potty-trained.

The appearance is the first disappointing thing you notice about this restaurant. There is no ambiance to this building unless you count a sign that says, "authentic Swiss cooking". It is extremely small with a few tables for two and I believe one for four....More

Dear Neil (and family), In the 7 1/2 years of being in business we have never had a situation like this one to which we felt the need to respond. As proud and caring business owners, we strive every day to keep our business running...More

I tried the Swiss Hibiscus based on a recommendation from a friend. Wow, was I impressed! I went with a group of 8 for a business dinner and we were able to sit outside on a wonderful day in Portland. When I first looked over...More

Great night of sense memories of trips to Switzerland! The fondue, roosti, and spatzle were great. I was wishing for Grappa and raclette with new potatoes and gerkins! Prost!

Saw this place on an episode of DDD, so we thought we'd try it out with the family on Mother's Day. We all totally loved it! It's over half hour drive from our house, but was worth it. It's a very small place, maybe six...More

Hawaiian meets Swiss. The owners are fun and extremely friendly. The food is definitely worth a try, although it is a bit of an adventure!

Swiss Hibiscus is a fun, unique, boutique restaurant. It is small, seating probably no more than thirty. It would be fine for a quiet meal for one or two couples, or for families with kids. We celebrated a ninth birthday party there with a mix...More

Yes, both.
July 6 is the 50th anniversary of our marriage in Basel Switzerland. Since fountains have been a theme for our wedding and anniversaries, we are choosing to spend the occasion in the City of Fountains, Portland. When we saw that there is a Swiss restaurant in Portland, we were thrilled. Now, the question: are you open on Monday evening? she said with her fingers crossed.
