Three of our party tried the Portland Dining Month prix fixe menu. Big mistake. The "short ribs" were served as a dollop of meat porridge over bland mashed carbohydrates with a couple wilted green leaves. Why the server bothered to set out steak knives was a mystery. The small dining room is cluttered beyond reason with antiques and rustic stuff... More

No one in our group was happy with the PDM menu, so we ordered off of the regular menu. It was wonderful!! Two of our group were GF, but we had no trouble finding a satisfactory choice. The whole trout was to die for"- really! And their soup, which was "winter greens" was delicious. We will definitely go again! We... More

Eight of us went here for my birthday and ordered the family feast. It pretty much included the entire menu. Everything was great. The amount of food was huge and the staff timed service perfectly so we had time to digest it. They were also very friendly and helpful and made the meal very enjoyable. The menu is very creative... Nice warm inviting place with chopped wood all over and under. Small parking lot on side otherwise street parking. Service was good and 18% is automatically added to bill. The hits... Drink the Vintage. I couldn't pass up a cocktail with aquavit and I was correct. It was fabulous and strong. My friend enjoyed the smoke break. The flatbread is... More

First dinner at this much talked about NE Portland restaurant and we walked away being mostly disappointed. The individual entrees looked great but decided to try the special Valentines Day tasting menu and it was not a good choice for us. The pacing was erratic throughout, the ingredients while high in quality never quite worked for either of us in... More

I had heard rave reviews of Ned Ludd- a must check-out sort of place! Maybe it was the couple shoving their tongues down each others' throats at the table across from us that killed some of the vibe. Or the cocktail that was weak and not as flavorful as I had hoped. The food was decent- we got a little... More

Kind of limited menu. A little boring but well done. Good people. Solid carriage. Some things shone.

Delightful find! Recommend highly. Earthy food, all cooked in a wood fired brick oven paired with creative craft cocktails that were simply fabulous. From the appetizers to dessert, our party of 6 sampled a wide variety of menu options and enjoyed every bite. The eclectic ambiance was cozy with a cool vibe, background music was upbeat yet allowed for nice... More

Read rave reviews and decided to visit this restaurant. The spiced flatbread was fantastic with the beetroots dip. Very fluffy, soft and well-seasoned. The pork crackling was a huge disappointment, chewy and not crispy. Although I gave my feedback I was told that chef said its supposed to be this way. Puzzling, cos I have eaten sufficient pork cracklings to... More

We really enjoyed our dinner Sunday night. We had a cheese board and some vegetarian "warm plates". All were fresh and well done. They even happily accommodated my request for a ginger mule which wasn't on the menu. The only "off" note was when we asked what cheeses were on the cheese plate, nobody seemed to know and insisted we'd... More
