This restaurant is not know to outsiders, travelers would never stop because it is One of those places that only locals know looks are not everything. Great Hamburgers, and other foods. Don't be in a hurry because it takes a little time to Receive your...food. The grill is small. But during this waiting time you have the Umpqua River to enjoy. If your lucky you can get a sighting of a Bald Eagle. Lots Of great views. The wait for food is worth it wait. The steaks are the best.More
After having this recommended time after time by Wayne at the Umpqua River RV and Boat Ramp when we camp, we decided to try it. There was a little mixup with our order at first, but these folks completely erased any misgivings caused by that....Wow! Great burgers -- juicy and messy and all the things you want in a real burger. I'm glad I ordered the 1/4 pounder, cause there was no way I was going to finsh the larger size. We have heard over the years that this little place pretty much in the middle of nowhere on Hwy 138 between Sutherlin and Elkton, Oregon, has great burgers. Finally we made the stop. Glad we did! I got a 1/4 pounder & my husband got...a 1/2 pounder. I was stuffed full~ he had to stop before he finished;) The krinkle cut fries were done to perfection, the burgers were cooked exactly to order, and there was a good selection of craft brews. I love small finds that are cool and good. Tyee Landing fits the bill. We were visiting with friends in the area and decided to go for dinner on Friday night, they serve a rib eye steak dinner on Fridays. It's a good idea to...call and reserve your steak as they only have a certain number available. It's nothing fancy, but it's a cute little place right on the Umpqua river, which I imagine would have great views in the day time. Our friends said their burgers are great too. We all ordered the steaks and they were really good and cooked perfectly to order. Would absolutely return.More
Not many Menu options-serves Beer and Wine-not a lot of seating area-deck for outside seating in nice weather by the river. an Ok place-Nothing to write home about
Stopped in for late lunch after shopping.shopping in Roseburg. Between the 4 of us we had. BLT, Turkey Club, Chicken tenders & a Shrimp basket. Everything was great. Everything was great. Stop here when you get a chance. You won't regret it!!
Nice Bar and Grill RIGHT ON THE MAIN UMPQUA RIVER! The BEST thing is the view of the RIVER..Food and service is Good!
I have heard about their burgers for several years but just never got around to heading out that way. My husband had the chance to eat there last weekend and really liked it. On the way home from the Oregon Coast, we stopped it. So...glad I finally had their burger! Looking forward to returning soon. The river view is so beautiful.More
This was a beautiful spot for an evening dinner time . There was a soft Breeze off the river which. was flowing gently outside. You could not ask for a more lovely place to have dinner with friends. However, the waitress was irritated with our...group because she thought there was only going to be six of us and it ended up there was 9 of us so we moved a few tables over to accommodate the extra people. She said we're not supposed to move the tables here. Not once but several times so that was disconcerting. The service was good outside of that particular problem. Secondly, the food was very tasty, nicely cooked, however, there was a distinct discrepancy in the quality of 2 of the five steaks. Again due to our numbers, she even said the restaurant was not prepared to serve this many steaks, therefore, four of the stakes in our company were at least three quarters of an inch thick. However the last two states which included mine were much thinner and of much poorer quality than the other of the others. Although we were still charged the same price as the more larger steaks. I did not find the food to be extraordinary, it was decent. They were adequate portions . But we were uncomfortable in many ways therefore it made the evening not as pleasant as it could have been.More
The best burger in the area (I believe). A must stop if travelling through or destination lunch. The Volunteer Burger is amazing. Great views and great beer section also make it a great place.
