Two lunches over two weeks. Two disappointments in a row. The "Chipolte Porter Pulled Pork" sandwich was like Arby's on a good biscuit. Meat and bread and nothing more. No sauce. No greens. No pickled onions. No slaw. I would have been happy with anything...to balance the meat, but there was nothing. It was just meat on a biscuit which yielded a completely unappetizing sandwich. The "Beef and Blue" was not any better. The menu claims it has "tomato chile jam" and "Rogue Creamery blue cheese," but, although I could see evidence of something when I looked for it -- a bit of reddish color in one bite; a few crumbles of the blue cheese when I pulled back the top biscuit -- there was not enough of either to actually taste them! I want this café to make it, but seriously, their kitchen staff has to pick-up their game, and I look to the café's owners to make that happen. If it's a question of trying to save money by not delivering fully-developed sandwiches, they need to change their menu because, by short cutting and not delivering, they are doing themselves a huge disfavor.More

Wonderful lunch spot! The food is excellent (healthy, & fresh) and the service is wonderful too! We highly recommend this spot! Biscuits and homemade blackberry jam are especially fantastic. We will definitely come back again!

In our one month visit, we went three times. The menu is fresh, unique, and local. Baked goods are made in site. The biscuits are light and offered with so much variety, you will have to go back or steal a bite from your friend’s...plate. If you just need a snack, try their peanut butter and banana biscuit or their bacon scone or their red velvet cake. Maybe you want something heartier, they have biscuits and gravy and lots of Oregonian-style salads and such.More

Since we were a large group it seemed to take longer to be served. Food was appealing, hot , and good flavor. It's casual and now a larger facility. You order at the counter, find your own table. They serve. Biscuits are great. as are...the pasteries... Worth a visitMore

Absolutely love the Kale breakfast salad. Their biscuits, which they are known for, are also incredible. I love the unique breakfast options. As a vegetarian I found it easy to find menu options. It can be a bit busy at times but orders are taken...at the counter and so everything moves along fairly quickly.More

The food was great... so why not a five rating?... their rule “order before you find a seat.” If it’s packed you cannot find a table. So are you supposed to stand with your food?! We waited some time before I told my friends to...go order. I saw a table open up... got scolded as I went to sit down “You need to order first!” I told him I’d been standing a while and my friends were at the counter ordering. Apparently you have to have your number first... I’m 72 and have very bad knees. I won’t be recommending this restaurant to anyone who has leg issues... there is no consideration for growing old.More

The food was great - big fluffy biscuits, muffins & scones. Good, healthy options. We were going to be a party of eight, so got there early to secure a big enough table. I guess this is a no-no as you're supposed to order, then...sit down (first time there so didn't know the protocol). We went up to order after all of our group had arrived and the young woman at the register was pretty rude about our taking up 3 tables before we had ordered - she rudely chastized us. We ordered mimosas and she asked for IDs for those drinking. When I pointed to our nearby table and mentioned that she could see we were all of legal age - 60 and over - she still insisted on seeing them. She was not very pleasant and it made me not want to return to that restaurant.More

Second time visiting this wonderful café and bakery. Had the very tasty Buttercloud salad. Previously have loved their veggie hash and salmon scramble. Highly recommended!

Yes we do! when cutting out the biscuit you can always substitute with a bed of greens or our delicious veggie hash. We also have a gluten free chocolate almond torte that you can pre-order.
