The food is amazing here! Fresh, incredibly well prepared and plated. Chef Brian is a star and his wife Carol and the front of the house operate like a well oiled efficient machine. We had the fried oysters that were lightly breaded and cooked to...More

Two friends and I were in Manzita for a birthday celebration and we decided to give Big Wave a try. It looked a little "dinery" from the outside but the decor inside was cozy and more updated than we'd expected. Our waiter was helpful, efficient...More

Food is OK, if a bit overpriced. Negative is that the wait staff looks as if they had just finished cleaning the loos. Not appetizing to be waited on by someone in a somewhat dirty , too tight, T-shirt or a sports hoodie. Shirts with...More

Josie, thank you for visiting our restaurant. Our prices reflect the quality of food we purchase that you eat. We know we can buy much cheaper products than Tillamook Cheese, Bennett Farms Milk, Nehalem Meats from national providers but elect to source by quality first,...More

Better than average chowder, heavy cream, not too many potatoes, ample clams. Marion berry pie ala mode was good, not great, as other TA reviewers said. Service was good, waitress was a little aloof, too cool for school.

Not wanting to get into the hassle of Cannon Beach on Easter weekend, we drove south to Manzanita and TA had given a good rating to this roadside cafe. The six of us (two youngsters) had a ten minute wait but the greeter checked on...More

We had dinner here with family on a Friday night, got a table pretty quick despite a full restaurant, every table was taken, a great sign! I had the best grilled halibut, like the best grilled halibut I’ve ever had!!! Our server was the waitress...More

We had a delightful lunch, with vino, at this restaurant. The halibut was prepared just right, the wine was perfect and the service was friendly and attentive.

First of all the seafood was breaded and fried. This included my razor clams, which also were very tough and certainly not fresh. The prices were on the high side but not extraordinarily so. We very much looked forward to our first visit to this...More

Troutbum2, Thank you for visiting the Big Wave Café. On the day you visited we had a total of 24 different seafood items for you to select from and five of them are deep fried. The razor clams are breaded but then cooked in clarified...More
