The atmosphere was the very best, servers were great, but, the food was not very good. I heard this restaurant was the best around, but not so. The fish/chips were bready and fries were limp. Alfredo with salmon was tasteless, thick and very pasty. Prices...More

My wife and I were looking for good clam chowder and found this place listed which as only blocks from where I stayed. First impression was mediocre only because the hostess ( who was really friendly) had too much perfume on. We were seated immediately...More

First time here. Very nice and reasonable. Had the fried oysters! Sooo good! Best ones of the trip. Dipped in cornmeal , I love that kind. Nice big and fresh. Clam chowder was good, not the best in my opinion. Would go again.

Read a negative review for J’s from Monsoon2013, Yreka, CA suggesting that Blackfish was so much better...so my wife and I tried it last nite. Were we ever surprised! The ambience was very nice and staff friendly. Caution! Appreciate in advance that most of the entrees...More

Once our first stop upon arriving in Lincoln City, we drove right by The Blackfish Cafe today. Too many recent disappointments. Just felt obliged to state that we have such fond memories of what this restaurant used to be. Wishing the Blackfish Cafe well for...More

Stopped in for lunch on a sunny mid-week day to a largely empty restaurant. The fish in the fish/chips meal was rockfish, lightly battered, and delicious. The portions were generous and the price very reasonable. Blackfish is closed Monday and Tuesday.

Take your time and have a nice quiet dinner here. It is worth the money! The fish is fresh, not frozen. The service is warm and welcoming. And the peanut butter pie is a MUST! Personally, we recommend the Calamari and Swordfish. Their fish &...More

We visited for the very first time and found the staff to be very friendly, they provided excellent customer service, the atmosphere was very quaint, and the food was superb. What a neat place to visit and return again and again.

We enjoyed the halibut special - good quality and flavor with ample portions. However, the service was very slow. Perhaps they had more guest than anticipated, but they needed more wait staff.

I know all the reviews are great, so maybe the 4 of us all ordered the wrong things. The best item we had was the crab cocktail that I think was a special. We all shared it and it was delicious. The next best item...More

If you mean "wine" list, not "wind" list, I suggest you contact the café directly.

Reservations are best as they are very busy. We did get in as a walkin on our first visit, but that was at 5pm or so early in the week. At most of the better coast restaurants we find it best to call ahead.

I would consider the prices mid range. We had appetizer, 2 dinner entrees, dessert, and wine for just under 100 dollars. Well worth it! The food is fresh and well prepared, and the service is friendly.
