We’ve been going to Syun for years, it’s our absolute favorite sushi spot in the Portland area. The Ring of Fire and Double Crunchy Tuna are our favorite rolls. The salmon hand roll and nigiri selection are also favorites. Highly suggest going during their weekday...More
We were visiting wineries in Cornelius OR today. The owners of Blooming Hill Winery recommended Syun in Hillsboro. They said best Japanese food outside of Japan. We just had to try. It is awesome! No photo of the Kakinuku (pork belly), we just went for...More

We’ve been eating at Syun for a number of years and once again, our diner with friends was delicious. Don’t miss the miso marinated cod, the mackerel or their selection of sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls.

This place is great. I have NEVER been disappointed with the quality of food. The wait can get busy on a weekend night, but it is worth the wait. It can get a bit noisy at lunch (local IT crowd), but that's just because Syun...More
Our family likes sushi, and this was wonderful. Nice little atmosphere as it was an old library. Service was good and servers pleasant.
