The view from the dining room of the historic stage stop barn and the hillside is perfect. Someone was at the table I wanted so I ate on the front porch instead, which also has nice views. I had a burger for dinner and it was average. The cook, who was the owner's father, came around to personally make sure... More

This is a fun little Café that serves good food at a reasonable price. The people are friendly and the atmosphere nice. You wont get a four star meal here but it will be home cooking and plentiful.

Food was terrible, raw pancakes, southwest scramble was not edible, never got side dishes we asked for.

Highest recommendations for everything about Service Creek Stage Stop. I was lost in the mountains, heading to Seattle, darkness was soon to fall and I was desperate for a rest. I pulled over and found this gem. The cook/server was an angel in disguise, she told me about Wheeler County, cooked up a filling and delicious fried chicken dinner and... More

I've only done breakfast before fishing the John Day River. It was good, coffee was hot, and the service was nice. Don't expect big city dishes or big city prices. This is a country style restaurant with good, homemade food. I was told that if you go for dinner, and if you like good wine, bring your own.

Kinda out there, but when traveling Hwy 19, stop for lunch. The French dip was fantastic and the fries are excellent. YOU MUST HAVE SOME OF THE PIE! Excellent!

My elderly father booked and needed to change a reservation that he made. when I called and spoke to Jenna at 7:45pm, she told me " we'll just have to see where things land, I'm in the middle of dinner" and hung up on me.

They had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and homemade pies. The steak I had in the evening was very good. The breakfast was also very good.

Old stage stop from 1920s. Serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine, beer until 8pm or 6pm Sunday. Wine-few choices; reasonable mid-range, at a few dollars. Good traditional breakfast selection. Lunch choices could be anything from soup of the day, grilled or cold sandwiches, lunch baskets (deep fried shrimp, halibut, chicken, hot sandwiches such as roast beef with horseradish, corned beef with... I like this place. I like the hamburgers the best. Have talked to people out on the porch who have stayed the night at the B&B who ate breakfast and they loved it. We have used their rafting services in the past too.
