Yep, everything is deep fried on an abbreviated menu, but if your after fish & chips, or shrimp or scallops this is the best I've ever had on both sides of the Atlantic.

We stopped here for lunch on our way through Eugene. The clam chowder was very good. My husband loved the coleslaw. The fried cod was delicious with very tasty breading. We loved the tarter sauce. Fries were also perfectly crispy and fluffy in the middle. Would totally go back here next time we are in Eugene. It is obviously a... More

There are other places to get seafood and fish in Eugene - but the range and quality combined puts this place first in my opinion. I try and go at the same time as lunch because the lunches are so good - especially when you can sit outside. There are a lot of nice specialty foods in the store...

After having tried and enjoyed the smaller Newman's on Coburg we heard this one was bigger. We found the menu more limited. The special was coconut shrimp for $6.50 which was excellent but no sweet sauce like mango or apricot was offered. They just didn't go with seafood sauce or tartar sauce. We also tried the cod. Good but we... More

Great place to buy fresh fish to cook at home--WAAAYYY better than Market of Choice (they don't carry lots of shellfish though...for that go to Fisherman's Market). On the fry side...they have decent fish and chips and I like the coconut shrimp they often have on Fridays. Not a huge fan of their chowder though...a bit watery and flavorless to... More

Fresh fish, clean and good service. Love the trout, halibut, prawns, scallops and salmon. Fries and coleslaw are good too.

This place has a small menu but what they serve is the best fish and chips around, plus they have great chowder to boot. Limited inside seating but you can relax on the patio outside. A must go if you love seafood the way it is suppose to be simple and delicious.

Newman's Fish Company is both a fish market and a restaurant. They sell the freshest fish with great variety. The fish mongers are all very knowledgeable and friendly - knowledgeable about the fish and various methods of preparation. The restaurant has a limited menu but more than adequate if you like fish. They serve fish and chips and you can... More

Love this place normally I go for the shimp and chips. Very fresh ingediants that are deep fried to perfection. An order is substantial. Cole slaw is also good. Very few tables but real good food.
