Amazing Breakfast. Good portions. The waiter was new but did a very good job. Little spendy but worth it.

While we visited Cannon Beach for a day, it decided to rain - not the usual beach drizzle, but the biblical, all-hands-on-deck kind of squall. The waves were brown and huge, and up to the seawall. We ducked from one shop to the next until we were in the Scoop. We decided to order a small breakfast. It wasn't that... More

Of the four places we got clam chowder, this was our favorite. It was creamy and full of flavor. Putting salad shrimp on top is a really nice touch. One, I may try at home.

The Local was the only place open the morning after a huge storm this past October. We were tired, damp, cold, and hungry. We had been without power at our hotel for 12+ hours and all we wanted was a hot cup of coffee and some breakfast. Driving down Hemlock and seeing closed sign after closed sign, we thought we... Lots of choices, home made everything. Can get smaller portions. Cozy, good eats! Fabulous clam chowder!

Sat down outside for a solo lunch- only two other tables busy out there. Two servers going in and out. No one bothered to look at me or give me a menu, even tho a server walked right by me. I got up to go grab a menu that was set outside- just then server again walked right by me... More

We tried this place on a Saturday for breakfast. There was a line at the Pig N Pancake and no one in this place. Excellent food and service. Good portions, and no more expensive that the P and P. I would go here before there any day of the week.

I happened to stop on afternoon before Pacific Storm came to OR Coast. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon Salad it was tender and just right seasoning, melted in my mouth. I also got the Marionberry Cobbler which was scrumptious it gave me energy I needed to get back on road Thursday Morning and head back to Portland (I had gotten... More

This place is very expensive for food that is average at best. I had a cup of $6.00 clan chowder that was below average. She had the $16.00 almond chicken salad that was surprisingly small. Overall, I'd suggest going elsewhere. If you want good clam chowder, go to the Pelican. Much better!

Not that many outdoor dining areas...so this was fun with great menus and excellent food - well behaved dogs at almost every table.
