I work across the street, and weekly I walk over for some grub. The salsa is some of my favorite, the queso blanco is great and the servers are the best. Since I go so often, I dont even have to order, they just know... This place is quaint and has been here forever. The margaritas are bomb and I... More

Three of us went on a week night. The service was slow, forgetful, and had incorrect orders. The food was not bad but it was nothing to rave about, especially since it was a tad higher than other, better local Mexican restaurants. We will not go again.

Great neon sign at entrance and old place on what's left of route 66. Margaritas rated as best in town and they were good. Got a combo and a special- both were very good. Combo had the tex-mex chili meat on top which is what was expected and different from the Southwestern Mex style. Wait staff was excellent and quick.

"Would you like rice and beans with that?" --That was the only question that the waiter asked me after I ordered an enchilada. She didn't bother to tell me that there would be an additional charge for each item. Doesn't every other choke and puke Mexican restaurant include sides of this nature with an enchilada?!?! What a joke... I may... More

Five of us went for after work eats on a business trip. We each had something different. I had the pollo con chorizo, which was well cooked and had really great flavors, different than the Tex-Mex I am used to (and also love). The table also had a chile relleno as part of their Tampico dinner, and steak and shrimp... More

My Dad brought my mother to this place on their first date. That was in 1960. If this place had not been here then, I might not be here now. This is not authentic Mexican food. It is Tulsa Tex -Mex heavy on cumin and heat. The tacos and tamales are my favorite. Everything is made fresh no fillers no... More

Had never been to this landmark fixture but had great recommendations. They had a special of pablano pepper stuffed with cheese and mushrooms accompanied by rice and beans, all under $10.00! Best stuffed pepper I have ever had and would seek it out again when offered. Friendly, welcoming staff and great service.

This restaurant is small and has been in it's location since 1953. I had driven by it several times and always told myself I needed to try it. I finally found myself in the area at dinner time and decided to give it a try. The parking lot was full and the waiting area was full but we didn't have... More

My husband was in the hospital at Hillcrest and I wanted to stay close. I walked straight across 11th Street and had some of the best fajitas ever! They are grilled with pineapple and garlic--loved them! I also love their refried beans and salsa. Great service, too!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Tulsa. The location in old Route 66 near midtown and downtown is the perfect location for lunch or dinner. The menu has a lot of variety but the Night Hawk is my favorite dish. For birthdays, family occasions or business lunches this is a great place. Come hungry. You won't be disappointed.
