We ate here because of the Rave reviews about the hot hamburger. However, I had the chicken fried steak sandwich and my husband had a hamburger. Both were good on a butter toasted bun and cooked just right. Our waitress was very quick and very...congenial. Food was served pretty fast even though the place was packed with people waiting. The atmosphere of the place is more like a diner and not really the cleanest looking, but just needs updating! I rated it average because it was nothing outstanding, but we would go back. Just expected more from a steak house.More

Bartlesville must.

Always good to go here when coming to Bartlesville! Must try the hot hamburger with brown gravy on fries! I went here with my parents as a child! It’s a must do! For the first time I tried the garlic salad dressing on a simple...salad. Amazing!More

Delicious Local Food

I really don’t know why this place doesn’t have five stars! It’s a small place with nothing but booths but the waitresses are amazing the food is to die for prices are great just can’t say enough good!!! The Hot Hamburger combined my husband two...favorites poutine (fries smothered in brown gravy) over a hamburger patty with sweet onions on Texas toast, was he said best he’s ever had! My Chicken Fried Steak with salad and Baked Potato, oh my the huge baked potato and The Best White Gravy I’ve ever had in a restaurant delicious! So much food for the money! Even the sweet tea was good! So wish we weren’t just passing thru!More

A great experience!

What a great place! The place is very busy but the staff is chill and so friendly. The food is delicious and the prices are so reasonable. We had the sirloin for two and it was plenty of food! A place that is a singular...experience.More

Consistently delicious

One of my favorite restaurants! Consistently good. Lots of food for cheap. Their gravy is incredible. Wait staff is always attentive and quick. They are always staffed with plenty of folk. Amazing ice.

Great chicken fried steak!

Clerk at our hotel recommended this restaurant for their chicken fried steak and we were not disappointed. Diner atmosphere and a go to place for locals. Apparently pickle shortage we were unaware of, no fried pickles until September. Jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks were great...though. Enjoyed.More

Perfect

If you are coming to town, don’t miss Murphy’s. Pure American to the bone! Hamburger are great and hot hamburger with fries are their specialty. My favorite is their sirloin steak. The baked potatoes are always perfectly baked. Friendly staff make you feel like family.

Great recommendations from hotel guest, little gem outside of town

This restaurant was the best recommendation from a hotel guest who raved about the food. She was right, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner of hot hamburger and fried pickles. southern favorites. Friendly staff and great home cooked meal. Pay a visit and you won’t be...sorry.More

A Bartlesville Institution

I'm distantly related to the original owner, and never having been there, we just had to try it. Murphy's Steak House is more than just a steak house, with a varied menu. Great service -- even when it's busy; good solid food, and great prices...."Gravy Over All"!More

I am sorry. I am just now seeing this. They do have steak but I can’t speak on it. We didn’t have that. If you’re in the area, I’d still recommend trying it out. Small town atmosphere and just good, comfort food.

Hi do you sell gift cards or certificates? I have relatives in Bartlesville and would like to send one.
