We were looking for a quick dinner as we drove through OH. Wanting to try the local fare we stopped at Skyline. We ordered different versions of the chili and all were pleased. The chili dog comes as a single so we had to order another one as 1 was not enough for my son. A small 3 way with... More

I visited Cincinnati on business recently. Some of the locals recommended that I try this place. I'm glad they did. I always like to experience the local cuisine and just get a taste for the local culture. This place provided me with the opportunity to do just that.

Cincinnati is known for it's chili that has cinnamon in it, among other things. Some of the places put crackers in their sauce to bulk it up, however, that's not true for Skyline Chili.

Skyline Chili is a staple in Cincinnati (and a few other cities). A lot of folks haven't thought of putting chili over spaghetti, but that's what Skyline does best. You can have a 3-way (chili, cheese, over spaghetti), a 4-way (add either onions or red beans) or, if you're really hungry, a 5-way (the works - cheese, chili, onions, beans... More

Every time we visit our relatives in Cincinnati, we stop at Skyline on the way and pick up dinner. Five way, with spaghetti, beans, onions and cheese; hot dogs with cheese for the kids. Yum! On occasion we even stop on the way out and pick up some to take home. There is just something about the chili that is... More

This chain location in a somewhat seedy plaza within the enclave of St. Bernard serves the unique "Cincinnati-style chili" that is unlike anywhere else in the country. It is more of a meat sauce that is typically served over spaghetti with lots of cheddar cheese on top, and sometimes added beans and onions. (In upstate NY this chili might be... More

Attended a conference at UC last week, with dinner "on your own" on a Friday night. I had always heard of Cincinnati-style chili, but never partaken. So I walked from my hotel to the local Skyline restaurant. I found a full, vibrant restaurant with happy-looking diners all chowing down on "chili" and "coneys". The service was friendly and attentive and... More

I was a regular at the Clifton Skyline location during my years at UC. I still return to Cincinnati often to visit my family and always try to include a trip to Skyline. This location is closest to my brother's house and the one I most often go to. For the uninitiated, Cincinnati chili is a soupier, sweeter meat-only version... More
