We ordered carry out. It was delicious. They double-checked the order to make sure we had everything before we left. I would definitely order from there again.

The Alcove decor is beautiful, the food and menu expansive and delicious, and the staff is always first-class and friendly. I'm a local and there's not even a close second when it comes to going out for a great meal and great time. The updated...menu has really kicked up the food choices. You cannot go wrong at The Alcove.More
We stayed at the Mt Vernon Inn and this is a quick drive from there. We ordered drinks and cheese fondue to start. Absolutely delicious. I had Blue Hole trout and wild rice. He had french onion soup and a salad. Dessert was apple crisp...w ice cream. Service was fantastic and we had a relaxing, enjoyable meal.More
This was a great find in Mount Vernon! The decor and staff were classic! This reminded us of restaurants we used to go to years ago for special occasion. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was served hot and fresh. Very tasty! We...had the filet mignon, the scallops and the salmon. All were cooked perfectly except one filet which was whisked away without hesitation and replaced. Otherwise the food was delicious. Highly recommend!More
Husband and I tried this restaurant for a romantic dinner out. We had one of the more private booths. It was loud (we were there on a Friday night), but our conversation was super private then too. We both had the steak and salads and...this wonderful berry sherbet that was a special. Very nice treat for a romantic night out.More
Our server was Kasey (Casey?) who made us really feel comfortable We had prime rib and scallops and both were excellent. I want to come back to this restaurant sometime soon. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Under new ownership, the Alcove is fine dining at its best. The recently updated interior just make the ambiance of the restaurant that much nicer. Food and service are outstanding.
Beautiful restaurant, very pricey. I ordered the swordfish and was a bit disappointed with the sauce they put over it (I just scrapped it off) and really didn't care for the bean side dish. My husband order the steak and potato and he said it...was awesome. Expensive meal so wish I had ordered the steak. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was excellent!More
We moved to the area about a year ago and have been trying all of the local restaurants. The staff here are absolutely wonderful. The dining area is beautiful. The restrooms were very clean and well-stocked The food was wonderful. I had the prime rib...and my husband had shrimp linguini. I cannot remember the name of our appetizer. I will post the pictures I took later. Everything we had was delicious. While the price was a little on the high side, it matched the atmosphere. Great for a date night. I wouldn't bring small children as it would spoil the atmosphere which is a big part of the experience.More
Went here with my wife. We heard the food was good. I got the prime rib. I wish that I would have took a picture. Literally, half of the prime rib was inedible fat and gristle. Plus, the meat was barely warm. The au-jus was...the worst I've ever had. It looked like a light colored chicken stock with absolutely no taste. The horseradish sauce barely had any horseradish in it. My wife's scallops were very rubbery and over cooked. The meals cost over $100 Probably won't be back. The creme brûlée was very good! It is very hard to find a good restaurant with consistency now a days. Very disappointing.More
