I love this place!! You better love burgers and you better love onions. Voltzy is quite the character but he is also true to his word by backing up his words about his food. I highly suggest ANYTHING on the menu.
I don't eat many burgers. But when my friends took me to Voltzy's I couldn't help but have three. They are seriously good eats. And this place has some personality. If you want to ruin your diet, this is exactly the place to go.
This was my first visit. They have limited hours. They advertise 11a-2p. I would call ahead to see if open as they were closed the day before because "too hot." They recommend calling ahead for take out orders. Eating there means eating on picnic table and they were busy when I visited. I opted for takeout. Burgers are well known... More
Dayton has a few unique dining experiences, and the little stand/tent in a parking lot near the old GM plant may be the most unique of all. Burgers, cheese steaks, polish sausages and hot dogs are what's on the menu, all made fresh to order. Voltzy, or Rick to his friends and customers, (last name is Voltz) made his name... More
This is a one of a kind experience! There probably is nothing healthy there but from the soups in cool weather to the burgers to slaw dogs on Friday, this place is one of a kind. Don't even try to do carry out on the slaw dogs because they will be too soggy when you get to wherever you are... More

In business for 25 years, just discovered this little gem, and I mean little gem. If you like no frills, but good lunch this is the place. Outside picnic tables, and a big to go business. We tried the Voltzy slammer wrap. This was flavorful burger/ham provolone, american cheese onions horsey sauce, mayo sweet mustard and than stuffed with fries. Yummy. the... More
The is a unique burger & root beer stand proud to be unlike any other. First off Voltzy's is open basically 11-2 six days a week closed on Sunday. Rick the owner might also close early other days if he runs out of food, or the weather is perfect for golf. Bottom line you are going to get custom burgers... More
