My mom and Nan both talk about going to this restaurant when they were younger, and how good the food was, so my boyfriend and I decided to try it out. It has really cute country decor, that reminded me of stepping into my grandma's...More

While traveling thru Lancaster OH on our vacation we wanted to experience a "Home town restaurant" instead of a chain type, Root's did not disappoint ! The minute we walked in ( close to closing ) we were treated like family, our server very attentive...More
I know there's Debs and Todds. But Roots has always been my local favorite. Stopped in after a trip to the farmers market. Service was very efficient. Not overly friendly but not rude. Very old school. Definitely they cater to their regulars. The food arrived...More

This place is a Lancaster, Ohio landmark. If you are coming through you can expect great meals prepared like your grandmother or great aunt. I would recommend it.

Stopped in for breakfast on the way home from Hocking Hills. We knew we were in the right place right away. Breakfast was excellent, couldn't have been better.
This little restaurant has great homemade food. Family friendly and great service. From breakfast to homemade desserts, if you leave hungry it might be your own fault. An underestimated gem in Lancaster.
Standard "Grandma is cooking" food. Old family place. They do a good job with the food. Really good breakfasts. Fairly reasonable prices.
