We dropped in for lunch. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was cosy and the prices reasonable. The food was delicious and the coffee great. This was where I first sampled a scallop pie. I had several more during our trip. Definitely a great place for lunch.

The Swinging' Anchor Cafe makes great scallop pies and servies good coffee. Great service. We dined at lunch mid-week and there wasn't a vacant table.

Most of the other cafes in Stanley don't seem to open before 9:00. The swinging anchor was open and we stopped for coffee. The service was very friendly and we were soon joined by other locals having breakfast - always a good sign.

My husband and I fancied a cooked breakfast on our last morning in Stanley, so we chose this cafe. I ordered eggs benedict with bacon and a pot of tea, hubby had the big breakfast! Which was huge! My meal was fab, very tasy and no complaints from Tom, just that he couldnt finish it all :) The service was... More

considering my last review was removed, but upon reading "other reviews" about your terrible service I guess mine was not far off! My friends and I visited back in August we were disgusted with the extremely rude customer service. The ice cream did make up for the poor hospitality. Will not be back.

We had lunch here one day & morning tea the next. The staff here are so welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. The food is homemade, delicious & very reasonably priced. On the chilly days we visited, the cafe was warm & inviting.

I love this cosy cafe in the heart of town with al fresco seating as well. The food is so hearty and all home made. They present generous portions, great coffee and her breakfast is something you have to experience. Just yum. I never miss a visit when I'm passing through.

I came to this cafe for breakfast. It is very quiet cafe in a quiet town. You can sit near the street, have a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the peacefulness of the town. Food here is also good. The price is okay. I will come back if I have chance
