I like coming here for a drink and there's a lovely beer garden but staff need to work on people skills. Aren't very friendly here and unless you are known to them then you tend to be ignored

Hi I am very sorry that you had this experience. Staff training is something that we take very seriously here, can you let me know roughly what time you visited our establishment on the Sunday? More

The bar looks very run down and the hot chocolate wasn't anything special a bit tasteless for my liking.

The inside is very boring. People sit outside overlooking London Road, the main shopping street. Seating outside at the rear. No atmosphere inside.

Clearly need more staff. Over a 30 minute wait to order a cocktail on a Saturday evening as there was only one person behind the bar and he was not a pleasant man. Extremely rude to several people, not the kind of staff they should be employing if he can't handle a busy patch and be polite to customers. Send... More

Popped in today with my family for lunch, pub looks very pretty and welcoming with all the lights, I had been told there was a new menu as it had mainly been Italian before, my son and I had the carbonara and my daughter the chicken wrap, food was absolutely gorgeous carbonara was very fresh, creamy and tasty as was... Had to struggle past several people playing snooker. Area dimly lit and tables a bit sticky. Service was pleasant but slow and I felt coffees were quite expensive for size and quality

Visited this pub a few times for drinks with friends. Its ok but always seems a bit sticky. Ladies toilets are the rear were flooded and in a disgusting state. I went one eve when they had a good singer on and it was quite busy. On some other eves in the week it has been dead as. On the... More

We swung by here after a show at the theatre during the South Downs Folk Festival last year, and truly thought this was a gem of a pub. They were holding an ale festival at the same time, and had some great options at reasonable prices. The session was lively and the clientele friendly; evidently the pub is popular, and... More

The William Hardwicke is great and really ticks a lot of boxes. I hadn't been in for the last 10 years or so, but since the management changed a few years ago, I've been in more frequently. As a pub it is large and lively, especially on weekends where the loud music hits. I thought I'd feel out of place... More

Description
One of Bognor's best known and well loved pubs, The William Hardwicke has something for everyone!

We have just launched our new restaurant 'Little Italy' serving authentic Italian cuisine seven days a week, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. All food is freshly cooked and prepared in our kitchen by our experienced chefs.

Our coffee shop is open all day, everyday, with our trained barista’s making the finest Illy coffee and Damman Freres tea with delicious cakes and pastries.

Our cocktail bar is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6.00pm. Alex and his team are excellent mixologists and create heaven in a glass. Cocktails are 2 for £8 from 6-9 each night. Please check our reviews................ lots of people say we are the best cocktail lounge on the South coast!

In the Evening we like to provide you with entertainment, ranging from a fun quiz and bands on a Sunday, karaoke on a Tuesday and DJs at the Weekend. We have 2 huge outside spaces, separate drinking and eating areas, plus a coffee shop......we can guarantee you will have a great day and night.
