We was greeted with a warm welcome, and seated right by a lovely log fire. Kiran came over and explained what was on the menu. The starter was to die for, a selection of onion bhaji, chicken and salad served with pickles and sauces with a chappati. We then went up for our main course as there was a selection... More

Nice location, just on the green opposite the church, this gastro pub is a good place to go for small groups (though it can host a larger group in its side room). Personally the tables by the fire seem far more cosier with the wood panelled walls, than the rest of the pub/restaurant. Staff are nice and friendly and we've... More

As frequent visitors to the Bell restaurant we were looking forward to trying their new Indian Street food experience on a Tuesday. It started with a selection of starters served by the chef Kiran with an explanation of each item and a choice of chutney and sauces. We had pakora, lamb kebab, Indian roll and chickpea salad with poppadom. Although... More

The room had a rubbish bin with no bin bag and dirty. The on suite bathroom, one of the two ceiling lights was not working and lacked any light above the sink, mirror. The small metal sink had a cheap rubber plug with very little to grip hold of in order to remove it. The bar assistant insisted I set... More

This was an experience that was completed with a gift for the ladies. The evenings menus was complete to the extent you could have ordered any of the selection. Great value and wonderfull service.

Popped in with friends for a snack lunch, Hearty soup and chunky doorstep sandwiches were the order of the day-the beef and the cheve with soft peppers were the stars. Not cheap but a meal in themselves-don't ask for extra bread or a portion of chips as you won't be able to finish them all. Decent house wine and guest... More

5 adults with an advance booking. We 2 arrived early to have a drink by the lovely warm fire. We asked about drinks - various ciders on offer but the response from the landlord to our mild/stout/porter/dark beer request was 'what era are you from?' Didn't feel very welcome! Food wise the starters apart from soup are all £8/9 -... More

Recently visited for food and drinks with my family and, contrary to a previous review, had fantastic service from the bearded gentleman right from the word go. Very polite, efficient, brilliant service and made it a great experience for my family and I. We shall be returning again in the near future for sure!

Visited The Bell last night for the first time. A roaring log fire made a very welcome first impression. The service was friendly and efficient. As it was a Wednesday they had a 2 for 1 offer on the burgers and also pie of the day. All four of us had chicken pie which was absolutely delicious with gravy chips... More
