A few of us went for breakfast and had high expectations of quality. What we experienced was fairly average. The food was nicely presented but the general feeling about the sausages is that they were disappointing. They were lacking in flavour and had tough skins. Used bowls etc were not removed from our table when the cooked breakfast arrived and... More

We arrived at 5.00 on a Sunday evening and the place was packed. After waiting for some time we managed to get a table and then we had to try and get the attention of a very busy waitress. There never seems to be enough staff here despite its popularity. After some considerable time we ordered our food and waited...............we... More

I always enjoy the Dun cow. It can get quite busy but there is always a nice atmosphere there and the service is good. The food is, for the most part, scrummy, and I can recommend the lamb. Reasonably priced, it's a good option for a meal out.

Really surprised by how much the Dun Cow has improved. Not visited for 5 years, maybe more, because of really poor experience but we'll be returning very soon. Excellent service and good food, reasonably priced from the specials menu. Very good value and a really buzzy atmosphere.

We have been visiting the Dun cow in Dunchurch for nearly fifteen years. The food in the past has been a little hit and miss over the years sometimes very good and then sometimes not so good. I'm please to report over the last 18 months the quality is now consistently top class. This is our local and we love... More

What a dreadfull place, the place is run by kids who have had no training, the food arrives in a truck all frozen. Deep fried, microwave YUK !. The place does well cos there are lots of houses around, and there is no where else to go.its ok for a drink if you can get served by the kids who... More

I've been to the dun cow a number of times now always hoping the next time they would get it right. It's not that there's anything massively wrong but in the 10 times or so I've eaten there, there has always been something not right wrong drinks, wrong food and slow service

I visited here a couple of years ago and had a really lovely lunch, so when my family decided to try somewhere new I suggested the Dun Cow. We travelled a little out of our way to get there but we didn't mind as we imagined it would be a lovely meal. It took a good 20 minutes for the... More

A warm welcome from reception and showed to our table and given the Menu and Daily Specials. All three of us selected the Slow Cooked Beef Rib. The waitress then returned to tell us we had been given the wrong Special Menu. Not a deal breaker but it had set a tone for the visit. We waited quite some time... More

My partner and I have eaten at the Dun Cow many times over the past few years. Tonight we visited for a Sunday Roast and the food, service and atmosphere was really really poor. - we were seated at a table for two right next to a cellar door which was left wide open with a cold draft coming through,...
