It took us four days to finally find this amazingly wonderful sounding pub in Farnham. Once found, however, all good....with a big jar of doggie biscuits for my favourite person Bella, our old, but beautiful, old black Labrador. She loved the pub, but, next time,...More

The Bat and Ball is a lovely little country pub that is family friendly and dog friendly. We have been here a few times with small groups and one particularly large group that the B&B handled amazingly. They were very accommodating and pleasant. The food...More

We had a nice family meal in this classic English country pub. Has a nice beer garden and a good play area for the kids. Food was quick and decent quality for pub food. Staff were friendly and all round was a positive experience.

I have visited this wonderful friendly pub a few times, and each time it gets better better. The food is sublime; the Salmon Salad was generous, delicious and packed with flavour and the service is incredibly welcoming. It is by far the best pub in...More

We brought all (almost) our staff here for a team dinner last night. Unfortunately 25 people too many to fit in the pub dining room so by prior arrangement we agreed a marquee in the garden, with a special menu and a dedicated server for...More

We had a works function held in the garden. Lovely pub in the middle of country lanes in Farnham. Stunning pub, service was excellent, food was great. Would definitely recommend it, if you can find it again.

I have to agree with my son , the food was tasteless, serving food on a piece of wood does not improve the flavour. I noticed the pub was advertising for a chef, this could explain the poor lunch we had, 1st and only visit, sorry...More

I am sorry you and your son where not happy with your visit to our lovely pub. Since investigating this complaint, I find that your son is a chef, and as a chef myself, I do think that he should have dealt with this complaint...More

Uncooked ham. No flavour and we had to actually find staff to tell them. Did they come and replace the food, did they discount it? No. Avoid. So many great places around and our meal for 4 ended up with me with stomach ache after...More

We are so disappointed and upset to read this report, I wish you had demanded to speak to the management/owners so that we could have dealt with this disturbing report at the time, as we pride ourselves in good food and helpful staff. We are...More

We went as a group, mainly family. The attitude of the manager was very poor. Seems we were an inconvenience to actually serve us! Other bar staff were helpful and friendly. Also there was hardly any choice when it came to spirits. One vodka and...More

Please, if someone is going to be so damming they should ask to see the owners as we live on site, we do not have a manager, and would have definitely wanted to correct any complaints. We have our house Vodka and Grey Goose and...More

Would have never have found this gorgeous old pub had a friend who lives closeby not suggested it. Tucked away down a single driveway in the middle of a heavily wooded residential area, The Bat & Ball is the quintessential English pub. We sat outside...More

I don't remember seeing any but I am sure there would be a suitable side in the Ladies! Perhaps try calling them.

Description
Your first time here you might find us a little difficult to find as the pub is down an un-adopted lane in the bottom of a valley, backing on to the Bourne stream. "The Bat" is a traditional country/village pub retaining the charm and atmosphere of what a pub should be. An open fire, panelled walls, nooks and crannies, hops hanging from the old oak beams, cricketing memorabilia and six shining brass hand pumps for ale. Outside there is a covered patio area with grape vines overhead and a large garden with flower borders, a children’s play structure and plenty of seating. There is also a large car park.We offer a good and wholesome selection of light snacks, main meals and a mouth watering selection of homemade puddings and desserts. All our food is cooked and prepared in house by our team.Crossing the generations ,the pub is a meeting place for all and you will be sure of a genuine welcome
