Not sure why so many people rave about this place. There are so many better places in the area than The Wayfarer. We have been to their sister pub, 'The Swan and Two Necks'.. Highly recommended

Called in for lunch going to sit outside on the rear decking area but asked to leave as we had our 10 year old Labrador with us as he might upset some of the guests. Not a pet friendly place won't recommend the wayfarer to anyone.

I was expecting this place to be of the same standard as the Swan with Two Necks which is also part of the Paragon Group. Sadly this was not the case. The food was decidedly average - the pork with lentils was too salty; the Malaysian curry sauce lacked any bite and was cold; the pizzas were burnt on the... More

Another great visit to The Wayfarer, having not been for a while. We opted for mains and desserts, and everyone was happy with their choices! I couldn't resist the old favourite of chicken, ham and leek pie. Delicious as always! One thing I noticed though was it was very dark in the restaurant. Ambient lighting yes, but not when it's... Lovely, however take a torch! Lots of pretentious people but a good quality meal which reflects in the price. You need to book and at busy periods they only confirmed the day before to confirm you are allowed a table!

One of the best places to go in Stone, but you do need a bit of dosh in your pocket. Had great food all but once (an asian noodle dish that was far too salty). Service is good, although some staff could do with a bit more training on their drinks knowledge. Its always busy which creates a great atmosphere,... More
