Dropped in after a trip to Thor's Cave and stumbled across an absolute gem of a place. Sunday roast here is the best I've had this year. Such a great little find!

Came back after what was an amazing first experience with beautiful food and great service how ever the second time around could not be more different, the women serving us was frantic and frankly rude and the food was not good at all, not seasoned...look like a child had frown it on a plate and well all round flavourless, what ever has changed if its the owners or management has in our opinion been for the worseMore

The Jervis is in transition of chefs and doing a great job. The ease of booking and car parking was impressive. After booking on-line I received follow up texts to reaffirm my bookings. A cheery smile on arrival and friendly staff escorted us to our...table followed by a detailed description of the menu. Left to peruse the menu our drinks arrived quite promptly. The menu is not extensive but was still impressive. I will not describe every item but the starters were delightful and the mains hot, tasty and fresh. The Jervis leave to your own devices and leisure not rushed at all. Fresh, quality and local ingredients the meal was outstanding. So much we returned to experience this wonderful country pub again. When in the area again I will be sure to return. Thankyou for two great nights.More

Booked table in advance for 5 due to large group size we were asked to pre order. When we got to restaurant they had no record of our email for the order. Despite this staff were well attentive and we still managed to order the...meals we wanted. Food was great. Desserts were lovely and we had pick and mix between the 5 of us.More

Visited with my husband for a birthday meal. We had three courses and the food was home-cooked and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. It's a lovely place and I would definitely recommend it.

Wasn't sure if Dave would be there after the Covid problems, but pleased to see that he was along with some of the staff that were also there previously. We have known Dave for some time going back to the Devonshire, I must say the...food was excellent we had Braised Pork Belly followed by Creme Brulie my wife had Chocolate Browne. We would recommend for good food & pleasant service. Can't wait for the end of the restrictions when things will probably be even better.More

Upon arrival shown to our table. Initial observations where gravy/food spots up the wall next to our table and being opposite the serving hatch we could see that the stainless steel counter was dirty, underneath it you could see half an egg shell plus other...detritus; the rest of the kitchen is probably spotless but we can only see what we can see. The food was excellent. However, we received a steak sauce not ordered but we paid for it, as in fact, it was very tasty. Disappointed to find no cheese board available on a Saturday night - didn’t realise COVID and Brexit had left us with either a cheese or biscuit shortage. Staff on the whole very attentive. Saying this we were given the bill, not having asked for it, whilst sat with full glasses; making us feel it was time we left. Would we go again? Probably because the food was good. Experience overall 7/10.More

We didn't take ours. I am afraid you will have to ask them. However, there were lots of tables outside. Some on grass and others on gravel.

There is step free access available at the back of the pub, during renovations this entrance isn’t open to the public, but will always be made available when needed.
