This pub served great honest pub grub with sizeable portions. My pie was wonderful with its own separate pot of gravy. Dogs are made welcome and there's an eclectic mix of both tables and lounging sofas with masses of books around the walls (to read at your leisure) and a separate play room for the kids.

This place is trying to find its identity - Its almost there. The staff are very freindly and helpful but the menu is basic. Great if thats what you are after. I had a jacket potato which tasted a bit...reheated, but it was hot and flavoursome and plenty of melted cheese. My husband had scampi and chips which he rated... More
