If there's one thing you should order when you eat here ..... it's the Crackling for starters. WOW! Never quite eaten such fantastic crackling! The Tempura Prawns were also beautifully light. The Steak Pie was amazing and the Rainbow Trout was apparently exceptional. Great food. 5 Stars! We were nearly put off coming here because of a few iffy reviews... More

Since the new ownership things have changed. You cannot argue with the Great location, beautiful decor, fabulous staff but the menu is very limited now and in my opinion expensive for nothing special. When our food arrived I was disappointed too. I had the mackerel for my starter- tiny piece on top of something weird and marmite blobbed on yuk.... More

Thoroughly enjoyable Christmas Day lunch with our family - 9 adults 4 children. Three course lunch, amuse bouchée and a welcome glass of Prosecco was all great value at £55 ph and just £19 for the children, and in a lovely pub in a beautiful setting down by the Thames. Big thanks to Jess, Randall and the team for making... More

8 of us enjoyed an excellent lunch at this restaurant. All the dishes we ordered from the lunch menu were delicious, though a bit pricey. I am not sure we would choose this restaurant again because of the overall cost but there was no doubting the quality and taste of the food.

We were so pleased to meet our friends at this pretty place. It is a lovely pub on the river, but we were neither made to feel welcome nor in any way helped by an arrogant waitress, who lost interest as soon as we said we wanted a light midweek lunch. She made it quite clear she only approved diners who... More

Lovely friendly bar staff food excellent but when we asked to move to a more comfortable table we were told sorry fully booked all are reserved BUT nobody came in after us !!!!! We felt this spoilt an otherwise enjoyable evening 😔 we were sat on a tiny table with no room not even a 🍷 bottle ‼️‼️‼️

A great pub to stop with good service and excellent food and right on the river. If you're coming by boat book lunch/dinner in advance and take advantage of the private moorings - right by the pub.

...it has all the pretence of something wonderful but somehow flatters to deceive and fails to deliver...Sunday lunch is excellent but two slices of beef and a bunch of underwhelming and poorly cooked vegetables for £16 is an awfully small portion...Still it's a reasonable water hole for the Thames path with a beautiful beer garden and a fine range of... A warm welcome, friendly staff. Pretty location and boutique style rooms, bar and restaurant. Eat here first night and the food was fab. I'm a little ocd with cleaning so was a little disappointed to find cobweb behind bedroom door and few marks on back of bathroom door when arrived. Housekeeper addressed when I asked, so do not to be... More

I don't think the standard of food quite meets with its best years. That said my wife had the hake which she found delicious. I unfortunately had gone for the Pork chop which seemed to take a long time to get to the table and wasn't hot enough when it finally arrived. The staff were very apologetic and wavered the... More
