I popped in here after working in Thame (recommended by a local) and had a lovely veggie platter. Would normally leave it at that but as it was my birthday, decided to have a dessert- what a good decision! The chocolate tart was simply divine - rich blend of chocolate and salted caramel in a crisp pastry case. And look... More

Having visited The Thatch in Thame on numerous occasions before, it was a safe bet for this special day of the year to go for this venue. The food was delicious - their Sunday Roasts and specifically the Yorkshire Puddings are the best! They showed great flexibility as well, as I'd booked a table for the 5 of us only... More

Visited for the first time with all adult family. The restaurant was lovely but very noisy as there we some large groups with VERY noisy children. The food was excellent & the staff were very efficient and attentive. I would definitely go back but maybe not for Sunday lunch when families with young children go to let them runaround.

Moved to a different table which had receipts , cocktail sticks, on the floor and a receipt down the side of the chair. Waitresses friendly good customer... More

Stopped for lunch at the Thatch on Saturday. This was our third visit and, as ever, the service was good and the food was excellent. We travel by motorcycle so it's always nice to be welcomed. Interesting menu choices and a range of specials. We opted for the Chicken and Bacon Pie (in honour of Pie Week!) with Spring Greens... More

Please, please if you live near or passing by or staying in Thame do not miss the chance to eat here. The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere. I had battered fish and chips with homemade pea puree and tarter sauce. It is a piece of cod, piece of bream, and prawns separately battered and served with twice cooked... More

Always excellent food and exceptional staff at our favourite local restaurant. Love the new spring menu and the added specials give lots of choice. Keep up the good work.
