This was a pre-booked group of about 30 people with meals being ordered before we arrived on the day. Once we were all seated, our meals started to arrived, with shouts of, who ordered ?????, the staff checked at regular intervals to make sure we had drinks & the food was up to standard. At the end of the meal... More

The eaton mess was just cream with no meringue and a few raspberries. They did knock off the 2 eaton... More

Called in for after giving the place a miss for some time. Great new look having opened the entrance up. Very good selection of draft beers 3 with 1 resting and a couple of premium lagers. Priced about average for the area. Enjoyed sitting by the fire and relaxing before dinner. Service was fine. Food was cooked well and presented... More

Have been coming here for many years. It was never groundbreaking and only served usual pub grub but stood out because of staff and ambiance. I had read in local press that around £500k had been spent on a refurb so visited to see what difference it made, hoping it had retained its old feel but made weaker areas better.... More

Oh dear oh dear. I will take quite some convincing to go back to this place. I've reviewed it before and not had any real problems. It's always been a straightforward kind of pub / restaurant and has always scored 4 or even 5 stars before I think - but not after this evening. So what happened? Whenever I see... More

Food was very nice and whilst not breaking the bank it wasn't cheap ;) There was a good variety including a couple of slightly unusual options. Good drinks menu, again not cheap but not a skank either. Place was very clean and service excellent but not the quickest on the food (it was reasonably busy but yeah). Lots of parking... More
