I love this place - a visit to Holy Island isn't complete without a visit to Pilgrims. For ages their scone puddings have been a favourite of mine - something I've raved about. But I've recently developed a dairy intolerance so I wasn't quite looking forward to a trip there like I normally would. Not a problem! Their dairy-free brownies... More

Pilgrims is a perfect retreat on a winter's day after a walk round the island. Superb coffee and scones by the fire. Just couldn't be better. bought coffee to take away as well...delicious.

On a bright but cold day a cuppa was just the thing. Earl Grey and a wee cake, lovely. Nice seat by the fire was very cosy

A good place for a chat, a coffee, a beer, a piece of cake and so much more. Just really chill atmosphere and there is plenty of space up the stairs. Everything that is offered here can be explained by the owner. It was the only cafe open in the cold months of the year actually!

Second visit to the Island this year and even though there was problems with the electricity and generators had to be used, the spirit of the Island and the cheerful Islanders still made the visit worthwhile. Called into Pilgrims for hot choc and bacon butties on a cold autumn morning, sat in the relaxing garden watching the sparrows play, feeding... More

Lovely coffee, warm welcome from the cold, something modern on an island full of history but still in keeping with surroundings. Dog friendly which is nice, seating areas are in different rooms across different floors and an eclectic mix of art work and seating. Loved it!

Called in here as nothing else (but pubs) seemed to be open on our day long trip to Holy Island. Very surprised that this quaint looking building was such a cool coffee shop inside! We ordered coffee and two panini - tuna melt and feta & ajvar. I had never even heard of ajvar before but it was the MOST... More

The best coffee, amazing sandwiches, and fabulous scones, you can't get better, it's actually worth the trip to the Island just to have lunch here. Only downside is there not much space to sit when it gets busy

We visited the Pilgrims Coffee House at the end of October and it was just amazing. The coffee is roasted in a yurt on site and is so good. The cakes are all homemade, the cups are fully biodegradable, the staff are all lovely and helpful and the garden is tranquil and full of birds - it was like a... More

If you would like to share your homemade glutenfree cakes with swallows in a tranquil walled garden and smell freshly roasting coffee in the shade of a prize golden hornet crab apple tree, this is the place. We shouldn't forget the excellent service given by the very friendly staff.
