Been here twice now for Sunday lunch. I live in Edinburgh and my sister lives in Newcastle so we occasionally meet in Berwick as it's pretty much halfway. The menu here changes regularly and the setting is very nice. Lovely clean loos and the staff are always so nice. We visited on Sunday and we both had the salmon in... More

First visit to the beautiful town of Berwick on Tweed. Not disappointed with the lovely eatery we found either. Absolutely beautiful food, fab service and atmosphere. The owner said my husband wouldn't need a steak knife to eat his steak!!! he wasn't wrong, as the steak just melted when cut, best steak ever.

We selected this restaurant on a whim one evening in Berwick and they managed to accommodate us even although we had not made a reservation. The menu contained a wide variety of dishes made from locally sourced produce. Delicious seafood pie and pasta were our choices for the evening. The staff were really pleasant and made for wonderful evening. Heartily... More

Ate here on Saturday evening. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it. We both had a fillet steak, one cooked medium and the other well done. They wer both cooked to perfection and with a lovely selection of vegetables. Excellent service throughout our visit. We will certainly be back.

Place is quite popular. Local fresh produce cooked pub-style, that is unpretentious. Enjoyed every dish including an obviously fresh hammock with a superb searing. Nice staff, hard-working, polite and quick. Met the owner, always aware of what is happening around. Excellent choice for a meal.

My husband and I visited the Queens Head last night. When we arrived there was a little confusion. A couple arrived before us, but we were given the menu first. This felt a little uncomfortable. The menu was a well thumbed A4 sheet of paper on a clip board. We gave our order to a guy that was clearly running... More

I booked a table for 9 of us on Good Friday several weeks in advance. As we were travelling from various parts of the UK I was told that if for any reason we were running late - just to let them know. Menu was varied & all the dishes we chose were delicious. Love the fact that much of... More

We wandered in, enticed by the menu which featured seafood heavily. We then found a lovely place that was cosy and warm, which invited dogs with treats and had very friendly, hardworking staff. The food was also great, with large portions and interesting recipes which you can't really find elsewhere. The proprietor was also very kind to talk to us... More
