We loved this unique restaurant. It was truly memorable. Our table was booked for 8.45pm so arrived early to explore the grounds and rope bridges. The treehouse was illuminated beautifully and was very magical. It is set in the forest of Alnwick Castle gardens so is very peaceful. The food was delicious and very well presented. The menu was very... More

The food was excellent and the atmosphere matched it. The service was attentive without being overbearing. You could also go out and explore the top level of the tree house as well all the parts outside of the restaurant. Though probably best to cross the rope bridges before dinner. There was a good selection of wine on offer as well... More

Called in on the off chance of getting a table for 4. Great staff who couldn't do enough to make our lunch memorable. Cocktails to start followed by a superb 2 course lunch, couldn't manage a pud. Great restaurant in a quirky location. Loved it.

Our table was booked for 8.30pm. We arrived at 8.00pm but we were not allowed into the restaurant and had to have drinks in the Potting Shed. At 8.30pm I asked if we could go through to the restaurant. We then had to wait 10mins for our orders to be taken even though we had been given menus to look... More

Very nice place to come eat lovely surroundings and perfect for a romantic meal but very slow staff and very expensive for what you're getting..but all in all very easy on eyes and if you're wanting to impress a partner.

Visited here with my husband for his birthday as a surprise. Drove down from Edinburgh and spent the day between the gardens and castle. It did take a few attempts to get thru but once I did the lady on the phone was pleasant and was completely hassle free. I also emailed when I couldn't get through and got a... More

The service was incredibly slow despite the restaurant being quiet (2.30 on Monday 4/4/16) my 10 year old daughter ordered garlic bread as a starter. When it eventually arrived it was the bottom half of a very cheap burger bun spread with a smear of butter then toasted. Definitely not worth the cost of almost £3 My husband and I... More

Visited the gardens on Monday, decided to book a table for lunch in the treehouse on arrival. Booking looked quite solid so it is probably wise to phone ahead. I had a falafel burger with fries and my boyfriend had the venison burger. Two courses for £18.95 which was good value for the quality and quantity you got. Puddings were... More

We have eaten in the Treehouse on a number of occasions and the venue, staff and food have always been amazing. So much so that we chose to get married inside the treehouse. The entire day was perfect, the staff worked hard to set everything up and keep it all running smoothly throughout the day so it was completely stress... More

Description
The Treehouse is one of the most magical and unique restaurants to be found anywhere in the world. It’s high up in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the centre of the room and trees growing through the floor. Most importantly, the locally-inspired food is delicious. Always featuring local fish and seafood, meats from Northumberland’s farmlands and other regional specialities, the Treehouse Restaurant menus highlight local quality, taste and change throughout the seasons. There’s a great wine list, a good range of beers and regular live music. For a family dining experience that you’ll all enjoy, a great night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, there’s nowhere quite like it. We always recommend booking ahead for lunch or dinner.
