My partner and myself have been eating here several times a year over the last 16 years as it was our favourite restaurant and was worth the 12 mile journey, until our recent visit as the standards have now gone down, food dried out and...not topped up, a grubby appearance to chairs and tables, and our table had fresh sliced mushrooms on the seats and looked like someone had been preparing food there before we arrived instead of in the kitchen. Some of the staff are students who were not particularly friendly. The owner was also looking after a young baby at the same time as working and the table next to ours had baby toys, baby food etc and other baby things all over it making it a bit of an eyesore. In the past this was a lovely authentic Chinese restaurant but now resembles a tacky cafe, it is such a shame that it has had gone downhill. Most of the food was good, but the coke cola was warm and flat with no ice cubes. However Buffett cost was very reasonable, but I doubt that we will go there again unfortunately.More

Myself and my friends visited oriental gourmet this evening. We have been eating at this restaurant for some time and have always had a great time. The waitresses were very attentive and efficient. The buffet was very clean and full. The food was amazing as...always so thank you to you all for a great evening. Look forward to our returnMore

Terrible customer service by the staff after enquired that wrong dish was sent. Girl on the phone was rude and slammed the phone down after I asked why it would take an hour to resend one dish. Such a shame as used to be a...great takeaway but won’t use again if this is the attitude to customersMore

if you like cold congealed food a poor service this is the place for you poor service most of buffet trays were empty or been sitting there hours save your time a money food worst than poor staff well say no more avoid

I was forced to spend over £12 to get the delivery as an option. Then a £1 delivery charge and a 50p service were added. When it arrived, the delivery staff refused to bring it upstairs to my front door (flats 1st floor), repeatedly claiming...the door wouldn't open. When I went down the door was open and as he handed it to me he said "you no tip, I no bring it up." This is despite being charged £1.50 for the online-delivery and, having to order extra for delivery to even be an option Total=£14. To top that he had a child in tow, suggesting I am taking food from his child's mouth. The Set-meal-for-one was anaemic, no Pak Choi, no ginger, no hint of chilli, no aroma of 5 spice. Only flavours were sweetness, and lots of onion: chicken and onion in sweet sauce. Egg fried rice had no egg in it, wasn't fried, and was a basmati rice. I really feel this place has really lost it's way. Only clue for a recipe is lots of places to save on ingredients. No idea of customer service, damn near hand out begging. So no, only madness would make me order here again.More

been trying to order a takeaway from here three times now, one from just eat app, foodhub and also their own website. Every time allowed us to pay, etc and within 30 minutes told us they aren’t accepting our order and we will be refunded....Every time the restaurant has been open so not quite sure what’s going on. was very disappointedMore

Just took a delivery from here. First and last time we will use it. My partner usually has a tough constitution and will eat anything but in six years that’s the first time I’ve watched as he tipped the food in bin. Disgusting chemical taste...in every dish. I couldn’t eat beyond a mouthful. The best bit? The plastic boxes although at over £20 to only have those, it was obviously an expensive purchase. I hope Dragon City reopens soon as I’m tempted to call in the EHO on this establishment. Steer clear!More

Me and my gf went in on a wed night @19:00 we didnt book as was spur of moment, food was dry and alot of dishes was empty ....so not alot of variety we both have all you can eat and tryed abit of most...what was on offer ......it was very dry and cold when we complained to the waitress she said it was the same food been out all night she couldn't be more sympathetic but the owner was rude andarrogant and told us not to come beck for complaining I still had to pay £20 for my half eaten plate and my gf plate which she hardly touched i will never recomend to anyone avoid at all costs......More

First and last time at this restaurant. Appearance from the outside looked grim and the decor and seats were awful. I was advised that this place was cheap and cheerful but at £15 per head the food wasnt worth it. It did not help in...the fact that there were hairs on the plates either!!!!More

We've eaten here for the past 15 years and this is our feedback: Positives: Eat as much as you like Location - Located on Old Town Rushden High Street Duck - Without doubt - the best, tastiest and authentic Chinese duck and pancakes in the...area Service - friendly, polite and attentive Singapore noodles: one person in our family always eats these noodles and when freshly cooked they are, like the duck, the tastiest in the area, but not when left to dry out Chow mein noodles - tasty Sweet and sour Chicken - tasty Ice cream and mints: refreshing Areas for improvement: please, please close the restaurant for 1 week to refurbish, clean and modernish the interior of the restaurant e.g. painting, furnishings, table/chairs, reception area and most importantly the toilets! If the owners undertake these improvements they will, without doubt, have more customers and rather than being remembered for their outdated and unclean restaurant they will be remembered for the reputation of their food. We hope to see these improvements.More

I have been ordering the take aways from here for the last year and 80% of the time the food is really good. I went to dine in a few weeks ago and was sorely disappointed. The building is old/outdated and not particularly clean looking....The staff seem to be all students? The food is served in 2 x baine marie style buffet servers and there's a really good selection / most of it tastes really good but I did notice the staff/students walking past the hot counters and picking out chicken balls / prawn toast with their hands and eating it whilst walking off to the kitchen at the back which really took me by surprise. Due to the hygiene, i'll think twice before ordering takeaway from here againMore

Ordered food from this restaurant using the just eat app at 1955 hrs. I received the usual email and text message. I then called the restaurant at 2200 hrs and was told they haven’t received the order and were not serving any food. I was...told that the money would be held and I could order another day. I then contacted just eat, only to be told the restaurant had marked the order as delivered, which means I can’t be refunded and the restaurant holds the money!! Avoid this place!!! I can’t believe this is the first time they’ve been dishonest and probably hope people won’t make anything of it!! I now have to wait for just eat to investigate this and have lost money and received no goods either!!!More
