On a weekend break in the area we found this cafe by accident while walking in Hayes. It is dog friendly which helps when walking with the dog and the service was friendly and prompt. Home made soups were both delicious - we tasted each other's! Coffee and sandwiches also good - would recommend this to anyone - and hope... More

Centrally placed in Hawes, this is a really nice place for coffee and cakes, with the option of browsing the work of local artists.

Nice Little Venue, Had a Couple Of Coffee's, asked for Cream instead of Milk, Only to find we'd been charged an extra 25p each for this when we got the bill. First time anyone's done this!

In our view, this is the best cafe in Hawes. We have visited for years and always find the owners very welcoming and the food delicious. It is family-friendly and our daughters rate it as having the best hot chocolate and marshmallows ever. Highly recommended.

My sister and I called in at Herriot's for 'Brunch'. We had the brie, bacon and cranberry panini and the rarebit. Both were delicious, as was the coffee and tea. We chose to take-away the wonderful lemon drizzle cake to eat with our picnic later. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, enhanced by the beautiful art work surrounding us.

Called in for Cream Tea Saturday Afternoon. Warm Scones, Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam, plus great Americano Coffee. One of the best Cream Teas I've had this year. Fast service, and great surroundings.

So I've been before! One doesn't return unless if the place doesn't come up to scratch! Bacon, brie and cranberry panini with coffee, then a return for Earl Grey and scone with jam and clotted cream.. What more could you want?

We visited this terrific kitchen for the second time in a year, still as wonderful as ever, lunch was delicious followed by home made scones with clotted cream and home made strawberry jam. Will return next time we are in the area and would highly recommend this eaterie. I always buy their jam to bring home with me, truly to... More

This dog friendly (sitting outside) cafe made us very welcome and we enjoyed drinks and snacks but I saw in their fuller menu some lovely old fashioned things such as spam and cheese on toast! We will be back again.
