We travelled from Wirral to have lunch because the reviews were so good and nobody got it wrong! Really attractive setting if a little bit remote and the food was top notch. We shared mussels to start and my Wife had Sea Bass for her...More

Thank you for your thoughts, so glad you had a good lunch and enjoyed our countryside. We are defintely a bit remote but the windy roads make it feel more so. Hope we see you again. Regards Cb

Ill start with the bad point and say that the barmen were a little blunt and didn't seem to have any chit chat about them. Anyway, we were seated in front of a fire which was a big win for me. The drinks were brought...More

Many thanks for your write up and I am sorry about our chatless barman I'll go give him a kick. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the inn and the food. Regards Cb

Excellent food, excellent friendly service. Food is a little bit pricey, but when you are celebrating it is well worth it. Steak cooked to perfection. Only slight criticism of the food was amount of vegetables available, and the cost of one portion. Could share potatoes,...More

We stayed at the Inn on a Sunday night at the end of November and had another wonderful time here. The fires in the bar were roaring and the drinks were flowing nicely. We were married here 16 years ago and come back periodically for...More

Thank you for your thoughts, so pleased you still enjoy coming back to see us. Not a lot has change here, we just try and quietly evolve. Look forward to seeing the full team in January. Regards Cb

Friday 1st December was our last night of our holiday in the area and we saved the best until last. Beautiful building inside and out. I must admit the steaks being served looked delicious, this is something we don't usually go to eat as we...More
