Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went for a mid-week lunch with my wife, the pud was not very busy but we had quite a wait for our food. Food was standard pub grub but not the best, I had the fish and chips and my wife had a sandwich, bit disappointed with the quality and service. Prices are ok most meals are about £10, we might... Planned to visit yesterday with friends, but upon arrival was informed food is no longer served on Tuesdays! No update to the website or facebook page to reflect this unfortunately, and a few other people ended up in the same situation as us. Shame really as the place itself looks lovely. Will try again at some point.

Cooked perfect, not greasy at all, and just the right amount! Service was great too! I've also been in here on a Friday night for a... More

This is a lovely pub recently taken over by a great couple. The real log fire was on and the food was amazing Jay the chef Is fantastic. All 3 starters were turned out in posh restaurant standard and the mains we chose were wholesome home cooked food. Dessert was a real treat created by the landlord himself.. we will... More

It would appear that new licencees and new chef are in place. The young lady behind bar very pleasant and attentive throughout Had lunch yesterday. Tuna sandwich was very good. Chicken Caesar salad was the best I have ever had - and the chips were excellent. Will definitely be calling again. Four decent ales, too!!!

This is our local pub. It has been taken over by a lovely couple, the food is amazing and a nice choice of wines. The steak pie is yummy! Very friendly and cosy pub with a roaring open fire.

It's impossible to write anything positive about this place. We first visited in November to see what it was like. Average was the first word that comes to mind. We had already booked for a family get together for Xmas and thought 'it will be ok'......how wrong can you be ! Despite knowing how many would be going (approx 14)... More

When I arrived I couldn't get into the car park, its only small and two cars parked opposite each other were too close to get passed. I went in and explained my problem and it was immediately sorted out, cars moved and a bench to create my own space. The meal was excellent, served with a smile, and a joke.... More
