Welcome to The George & Dragon Inn, Sandwich. This property dates from 1446 and has been a licensed inn since 1552. It has undergone many changes since it was built, but from the day it was first licensed over four centuries ago the house has never closed. At present business partners Sarah Boxall and Stephen Wren have the pleasure of running this historical inn. They deliver an outstanding range of traditional food and drink with a modern twist that caters to the needs of every customer. Arrived today for our lunchtime reservation only to find it closed! Notice on the window saying closed until further notice and all bookings had been informed. Well I had not been informed. Had our lunch somewhere else but not what we had wanted. Disappointed!

Had a lovely lunch meal Thai fishcakes would definitely recommend. Steaks big and cooked as requested. Cod in batter recommend and chips amazing big, chunky and crispy. Service very good very friendly definitely value for money.
